Does anyone really believe in Christmas these days,or has it just become a habit. See more

I'm not sure kids today are getting the real meaning of Xmas.
If they only think it's about receiving gifts and Xmas dinner then they are somewhat missing the point.
I don't think many parents or schools for that matter pass on the real meaning.
It's a shame I suppose!

Living in Australia, Valentines Day wasn't a big thing when I was growing up. I'd never given or received anything for Valentines Day for the first 30 odd years of my life. When I started dating my partner I decided to buy him a Valentines card. I thought I was being romantic and was pretty proud of myself. So I hand him the card and he said 'I don't do Valentines'. Lol you can imagine how stupid I felt. So that was my one and only Valentines card to someone and I'm in my 60s now. These days my partner and I don't even bother with birthday or anniversary presents for each other. We just don't need anything so see it as a waste of money trying to buy something for the sake of it. If we want something we just go out and buy it when we decide we want it. We're both happy with it that way.

It's not compulsory to work unless you don't have a partner to support you.
So not necessarily for women to go to work if their kids are too young to yet go to school, instead of daycare.
If they wanna work then they should wait until their kids are in primary school, and have someone help them after school hours for their kids.
Too much money is being spent on child care.
My parents never had access when I was a kid.
Women's groups are behind this shit.
Too much family benefits as well, even if they work.
Many of these families are hardly paying much income tax, when you factor in their holidays, sickness days off, public holidays, family benefits, subsided children care, health care.

I have no idea what RepTrak is...but I always wonder why they say...do you use or even know what this company is?...and when you say no...they then ask you to answer a long list of questions about them...if you don't know...just guess?...someone is getting a lot of money for nothing...and it certainly isn't us.......I have to do it...Grrrrrrrrr!!

Edward S 497347
I like Daniel Andrews up to a point because he is getting on with building the infrastructure which is long overdue and avoided by many Premiers before him.
We must also keep in mind that during the severe bushfires across Australia in the Summer of 2019/20 Daniel Andrews has worked 7 days a week; then just as they were coming to an end Australia was starting to feel the effects of the covid-19 global pandemic within Australia, resulting in Daniel Andrews continuing to work 7 days a week until he hurt his back and ribs....BUT HEY DANIEL ANDREWS..We all know you are one step away from building a prison wall around Victoria, employing prison guards to keep us within the confines of your prison and place us all on prison wages...I support Daniel Andrews in regards to the infrastructure, but I DRAW A LINE at putting Victorians into a prison, causing many people to lose their jobs, causing many small business owners to permanently shut their doors. These small businesses are Australia's largest employers and without them, the unemployment figures will rise for a long time. This is a virus that CANNOT be contained and controlled and steps MUST be taken by ALL World leaders to eradicate ( kill ) the Covid-19 virus before it becomes immune to disinfectant and hand sanitisers; because once it reaches that point it will gradually kill the world's population and the human race will become extinct .YES the various vaccines WILL protect us from the virus, but not 100% and there are many fully vaccinated people who are still becoming infected and spreading the virus. Therefore ACT NOW to eradicate the Covid-19 virus NOT just continuously attempting to contain and control. All attempts so far, ALL over the world have failed and PROVES this virus CANNOT be contained or controlled and will just keep on giving, spreading, mutating, and growing stronger.
The Covid-19 global pandemic is very difficult for any government because their only choices are:-
1) Place the country or state into ongoing lockdowns to minimise the spread of the virus thus affecting businesses, people's incomes, and freedoms, the economy, and the debts of the states or country.
OR:-
2) Protect the businesses and jobs by NOT going into lockdowns, thus enabling the Covid-19 virus to spread rapidly across the country, overwhelming the health system, leading to thousands if not millions of deaths
