I m not a prude by any stretch and realise that breastfeeding is a very natural and beautiful thing that shouldn't feel shameful. But in saying that I don't think I'd personally feel the need to put on a breastfeeding exhibition when out in public. I do think some women now do it for attention, posting their breastfeeding pics on Instagram etc.

My son is 2.5 years old and for health reasons we have to keep him out of daycare. This was easy enough when the weather was nice as we would go to the park/beach, but now it's getting cold and rainy we're often stuck inside. What's your go to rainy day activity for little ones?

You can also put on rainy day wear and go puddle stomping and for walks with the umbrella. Rain doesn't have to be a sentence to the indoors. Walk an indoor mall. They usually have little people areas to climb on soft big animals or ride a little train or carousel indoors. At least the malls in America have those features. Hopefully there too.

If you walk down a sidewalk when they fix it, they don t make sure it is level. Store have small lips or steps just before you go into a strip plaza. Malls isles aren t wide enough. Old restaurant do even have to be handicap friendly. How can we fix this problem.

In Armadale we have a shopping centre near us where the whole front pathway of the shops is sloping. It is hairy when trying to negotiate this and feeling like you are going to tip over. One shop in the same suburb is renowned for having boxes and boxes of goods stuck in their aisles. Trying to negotiate this last year, I knocked over a pile of boxes and smashed at least one large ornament and probably more in those boxes. It is so frustrating! Have not been back in there since but have observed from outside the shop that their aisles are slightly better, but far from acceptable yet!. On the other hand my Woolworths in Kelmscott has wide clear aisles free from obstructions. And apart from that, they are always helpful and considerate. Most Woolies shops have the same wide aisles and clear pathways and on behalf of us with wheelchairs, may I say a huge thank you to them. How can we fix the problem - stick all the powers that be in wheelchairs and send them off for a day to shop! Perhaps that might wake them up.
Edit: Wow, I just noticed some of the comments on here and am really gobsmacked! We do not expect perfection, but let me just say that money can be found for many minority groups who are always in the media, we can find money to float a republic, have a debate about putting an first nation voice in parliament, give pay rises to politicians who don't deserve them (some do), and fund hundreds and thousands of dollars worth of fireworks, political lunches and heaps of other selfish causes. But a ramp into a shopping centre or an even entry - wow, aren't we selfish and entitled???!!! Hope some of you don't get to the stage where you face some of the problems we do!

Our house is packed of stuff we don't need. I am really thinking about downsizing the house and also stuff we collected over the years. My spare room is full of stuff we bought online for great price, and we never really used it. And that just made me think how many belongings we need for day by day living? How do you keep on the top of your stuff? What are your tips? What stuff should go?

I to get frustrated by the number of dud surveys and kicking you out for no apparent reason, but since have been on rewardia have withdrawn $900 dollars cash in the last 18 months and are currently sitting on 504 thousand points at the moment. I play when i have spare time and notice seem to get good scoring surveys very early in the morning, and I do work full time (50 hours a week) At the end of the day the way I look at it is you are getting money for...

That's what my Mum always told me from as young as i can remember, and it's still what i believe today.

If the Federal Government would simply ban all Foreign Investment is Housing and scrap Negative Gearing for All Housing this would, reportedly, open up 10s of 1000s of Houses, Flat etc. for rent. It is also reported that those who own Housing - both Foreign and Australian Residents - deliberately keep their properties un-occupied for Tax Purposes. We hear Politicians, the Unions and others constantly complaining about how Multi-National Corporations pay Little or No Tax on their revenues in Australia - Successive Federal Governments - both ALP and Coalition - have failed to close off the mechanisms these organisations use to avoid paying any Tax. But never a word from any of them about the deliberate, but Legal, rorts, scams, cons - call them what you will, used by Politicians, Union Bosses and others to avoid paying tax on their own Housing Properties which they deliberately keep Un-Tenanted. One Federal ALP MP reportedly has $12 million invested in housing - he conveniently "forgot" to list a $1miilion property in his Asset Disclosure Statement to the Federal Parliament and his mates, both ALP and Coalition, in the very same Parliament did NOTHING.
They won't do anything to put a stop to these scams because they are all up to their necks in this sort of Corruption and are Operating a Protection Racket for themselves.
Faint hope it may, be but maybe the new wave of Independent, so-called Teal - Members of the Federal Parliament - unless they have their snouts in the same trough of Corruption - will force the Albanese ALP Federal Government to actually get off it's self-satisfied, greedy backside and address this issue.

Do you have the income, so you can see a Dentist often for a check-up and a clean to your teeth? Say every six months is the general time frame to get checked. Or are you one of the people that simply can't afford to go to the Dentist and only go when you have a toothache and have to pay off the bill or get assistance from Winz (Work and Income New Zealand, provide income support)? I feel the prices are too expensive and that is why the majority don't go...

My teeth are falling to pieces and since we were scammed out of $53,500 things have been tough making ends meet, I have asked WINZ 3 times for help but they keep saying you have too much in the bank, we only have enough to cover the mortgage, power, rates etc but no help. If I go to the dentist the only place the money can come from is our food money so I am well and truly stuffed. But they can put people who play the system in emergency accommodation and pay $1,000 a week. Plus help them pay rent arrears and repairs for their last house they trashed!!

I've noticed for some time... that the people responsible for replacing our street lights... aren't always replacing them all, or there are usually one or two street lights that haven't been replaced when they blow out. It's often left up to the public to complain. I've had to complain in the past...but they don't always seem to listen, as long as there are few lights blazing and not total darkness. Here in South Australia, if you are the first person to report a faulty street light and they don't fix it within 10 days you can get a GSL payment of $25. GSL stands for Guaranteed Service Level. We don't seem to have too many problems with street lights around where I live.

Do you find as you get older you lose more friendships? If so why does this seem to happen? I recently turn 30, I used to have lots of friends in my 20s but now as i grow older i have less. I may not have as many now but the ones that I do have are basically like my family. Maybe we lose friends over years as there not really true friends to begin with? In early 2020, the government added salt to the wound of pensioners by giving the unemployed people the "Pandemic Supplement" which doubled the dole payments to $1100 a fortnight for several months, thus being MORE than the average pensioner; AND the government DID NOT give pensioners any "Pandemic Supplement" payments.
Although that salt in the wound made the wound sting, in late 2020, when pensioners were due for another pay rise, the government opened that wound, poured more salt onto it, then rubbed that salt into the wound by REFUSING to give pensioners that payment increase which they were entitled to receive.
Although that additional salt rubbed into the pensioners wound had infected the wound, the government decided that they have NOT caused enough harm to the pensioners and decided to add even more salt to the infected wound by adding insult by announcing in March 2021 that single pensioners will receive a payment increase of $8-40 a fortnight ( $4-20 a week )....which barely buys a cup of coffee.

I ask this, because many phones, computers and, even, some businesses are doing away with passwords and are moving towards fingerprint scanning, iris scanning and chip scans. Do you listen to songs in other languages? These being languages that you do not speak or understand well (need a translation for). I personally, enjoy listening to songs sung in Aramaic, Russian and Serbian Slavic. Unlike some of my constituents, I do find the interpretation or translation of the song in a language I do understand.

I fail to see why middle-aged first time mothers are still stigmatised and shamed. I mean lots of women are having children later in life now. I go for a walk (my happy place) - every day (regardless of the weather - but - I reside In Sunny Southern Cailfornia - LOL). I set a fast pace (I walk by myself), I walk in the evening, and I walk for two straight hours. I can literally feel the stress leaving my body.

I saw a TV show where a woman owned a business and her executive assistant was offered another job and when she found out it was a friend of hers who made the offer, she felt betrayed, but the friend said it was just a good business move, and had nothing to do with their friendship. Is that the right attitude? Should business deals, hiring/firing, corporate takeovers, whatever, be made regardless of who the people involved are, even if it's family or friends?

You can't really compare it to the last time you helped someone. Everyone is different and not everyone will screw you over. If I had enough money to spare I would help my partner provided he's not blowing all his money on drugs, alcohol, gambling etc. and then expecting others to give him money for his necessities.

With my mum in law passing a few weeks ago, the family had the unenviable task of going through her unit to get it ready for sale, as it was in an aged care village.
She kept cards, and the grandkids were going through them, (they are all adults), and found so many from/to their dear 'Pa' that they had sent many years back when they were little (he passed in 1988), and the kids were thrilled to see them & took them home for themselves as keepsakes.
I guess everyone is different, not everyone is sentimental. I feel it's disrespectful to throw them out.

Has any long term [20 years or more] smoker used vapes/e-cigarettes to stop using tobacco? I have been smoking for 60 of my 70 years life, now the cost is getting prohibitive so am trying vapes, to some success but not totally.

Vapes just dont compare in my books. To cut the expense I buy duty free cigarettes which are approximately $10 cheaper. Your far better off if you can quit altogether but after trying most cessation products myself and having COPD I still havent managed to quit.

I have planned a surprise party for my husband's 40th, never in my life attempted to do such a thing, so one day the thought came to my head and I spoke to my mother-in-law and she supported me in my decision, I choose a restaurant in Moonee Ponds. Just had mainly family and a few of my hubbies friends. it was a nice group of about 30 people. I had organized the date/time venue menu /birthday cake . All I told my husband was that on the day we were going out for dinner for his birthday although I didn't want him to see where we were going, I got him into the car. Blindfolded him and held on to his hand and guided him while walking, when I got him inside the venue all the family gathered ready to greet him once i took the blindfold off him he got the biggest and most unexpected shock of his life. My husband could not believe how I could keep such a secret, because I am one who gets exciteded .

Do you think RTA will start to design a better traffic lights working system? When people drive somewhere, it is always a disaster to get out of the suburban area. I think this is because the lights system works in the old way, like it was ten years ago. You probably experienced the situation when you are in the traffic line, and the light is green for only 2-3 seconds. What do you think about it?

I have this problem only on weekends. A set of lights run very phase time slow. I have rung the traffic control people and get told. Yes sure is a problem so I will tweak the phase to clear it. Nothing gets done. Even have gone online to report it and nothing done.

Only spend what you have to. People buy things that are not needed, so their money disappears before their eyes. There are many ways to save, some better than others, so use your imagination. I had plans to go to Ukraine this year but that has been put on hold for now.

I came up with a thought. Why not have a section where people could write a review of various forms of media such as a film, TV show, book, music album or a video (music, short film, a viral video, etc). For example, people could pick a topic and a title, like a new release movie and write a critical review of it along with a rating out of five stars and if they recommend it or not. This could come under the FORUMS section or GAME COMMENTS...

I just opened the cupboard and there they were. After removing everything from that shelf (there is always one shelf that they seem drawn to) and getting rid of as many as I could, I clean the shelf, shut the door. 2 minutes later, open the door, and the ones I misses are gathering in a corner, l swear they are laughing at me! So, I put down the borax/sugar mix, which is supposed to kill them, but of course they avoid it. Any Rewardians have better solutions for keeping...

l had a Samsung which died so my sister gave me her spare lphone which took me 18 months to work out how to use. Every thing l tried to do was not compactable with the lphone, which meant l had to find different ways to get the phone to do what l wanted, very frustrating. l would never buy an lphone, shich is over priced. That is a question i rather frequently ask myself- particularly this evening after working through a green survey, completing and submitting- then to be told i hadn't completed it!! do we do these surveys to get frustrated! truly it is for the points and some money..but i do really enjoy connecting with everyone on the forums and seeing other people's comments..i like the games but wish more points could be earned..i work for ages doing the addictive 10x10 puzzle- over an hour- points not much. It wasn't until I started work at the age of 15 years that I made a good friend. I was bullied all through school. Then I found a great job where I met my best friend and the people I worked with were fantastic. Then my dad decided we should emigrate to Australia from the UK and I left my friends and my beautiful dog behind. Don't get me wrong I mostly love Australia apart from the Government, I have been married since 1979, four wonderful daughters, four grandchildren and a greyhound who is now my best friend, companion and confidante, she never gossips.

We seem to be going through another period where very old and antique furniture can be bought for very little...nobody wants it...when I was redoing a bathroom...it was MUCH cheaper for me to buy a solid timber dresser that was over 100 years old..and convert it to being a sink unit...than buy a crappy wood fiber unit from Bunnings ... what the new owner got was something very special ... but something else had to go ... to make it ... maybe in a hundred years time...

An update to my earlier post! Recklessly (Or should that be "Wreck".....) I succumbed to DIY temptation again not long after writing it, after all what harm could another small bookcase do? Duly went online to find a matching one, only available in White now, that's OK, I have no colour bias, perfect harmony with the Black one..... Arrived on my doorstep this morning, great! Cold day, nothing like a bit of DIY on a cold winter's day to get the blood pumping, as long as I don't get any one the carpet. Lifted the box up...TRIED to lift the box up....it slowly dawned on me that this "Thing" was a whole heap bigger & heavier than the other one. Dragged it inside & propped it up against the dining table, where it remains. I'll get onto it tomorrow, maybe, after I've moved the furniture. It wont fit where I'd planned.
My biggest dilemma though is they sent me one worth $50 not the one I paid $20 for, what should I do?!!!!

Cryptocurrency, and owning your own crypto-wallet means you become your own bank. This is both a good thing and a bad thing.
While it is new technology, there are a lot of scammers looking to exploit those that are unfamiliar with it, and there are a lot of new 'cryptocurrencies' which can be used as "ponzi schemes"/Pump and Dumps"/"Rug pulls".

My son was in a car accident where he was driving straight on a main road. The second car pulled out of a parking lot in front of him. No one was given a ticket. My insurance company stated that no ticket means both parties were at fault. Is this a true statement?

Based on law in NZ you son had right of way, the other car was pulling out onto a carriageway and must give way or stop until way is clear. Drivers can exchange details of Name Address/contact phone number, Registration No and name of Insurance Co. If requested by other driver you must disclose this info and he must reciprocate as required under the Land Transport Act. I would also make a Police report to get it documented if police didnt attend accident esp if he refuses to supply required details. Here getting a ticket is not a requirement for Insurance Company

So over the weekend my laptop decided it was time for a windows update and silly me started the update,4 friggin hours later!!! and it was still not finished so I perservered and let the update continue for around another hour or so including installing time.My laptop needed a restart so away I go thinking everything is going to run smoothly after the reboot but how wrong I was.Loading windows was a complete nightmare and nothing could be accessed from my apps,just kept ...

Our windows are great. We updated from drapes to venetians in 05 and have had no trouble since, just a little antiviral work with a brush & hose once a year...beaut!....lol
