Would anyone be able to tell me how to respond/accept an invitation to a private group? You'd think I know how, as I have a private group and have sent out invites, BUT I HAVE NO IDEA HOW MY INVITEES ACCEPTED TO BE A PART OF MY GROUP? I'm stuck and would appreciate any directions. Thanks ahead.

List the name of your group in 'Private Groups' under Forums at rewardia.com and list the name of everyone you to join your group. Send out invitations to everyone you want to join your private group. If they accept your invite, then they will click on their name.

What stories can you share about first words that aren't Mum or Dad? I know ours was actually our cats name ...

My son is 26 years old and up until today I can still recall when he was 5 months old and I was trying to teach him to say Papa instead he would say papaw, it was so funny to hear.

A while back the morons at Facebook popped up a login window whenever you visited some pages, but you could click on the little X to close it and still view the page. Today the login window no longer has the X to click on. X-( That means it is technically impossible to get the daily Rewardia code if you do not have a stupid Farcebook account!! X-( BUT, by viewing the page's source code, I did find the code and link ... 8 Sept =...

Well the good ole MP's have given themselves another pay rise equivalent to a pension or newstart etc. and that's without all the other benefits they receive including millions spent on flights. Aussies are losing their homes, living on the street due to lack or loss of housing, eating less, giving up pets as they cannot afford to feed them, going without heating and or air conditioning, and even a cup of coffee out is off the list for many these days and these trough eaters think...
Bugalugs
Our corrupt and totally Dishonest Federal and State Politicians claim they cannot refuse the massive pay rises the Not-So-Independent Remuneration Commission - it should be remembered that it is Appointed by the Politicians so it is 100% Owned by them, never mind that we, the Taxpayers, are not allowed to know who it is that actually makes up this Remuneration Commission, we can bet it will include former politicians, judges, senior public servants - These massive and totally unjustified Pay Rises do not simply end with Federal Politicians they flow through to the Federal Public Service chiefs, Judiciary, State and Territory politicians and all of their senior Public Servants and the Judiciary. Think on this. There are some Public Servants who are being paid 100s of 1000s more than the Prime Minister, State Premiers and Territory First Ministers!
Our obscene politicians then use that lovely cash to buy countless Residential Properties which they charge ever-increasing rents for and then they Negfatively Gear the lot so that they end up paying NO INCOME TAX at all. It is no wonder that they all oppose any suggestion that Negatively Gearing should be abolished. One ALP, yes a politicians who supposedly represents the Down-trodden Masses, owns so many properties that he oh-so-conveniently forgot to mention that just a few years ago and before the price of housing escalated as it has done recently, he owned one property which was worth OVER ONE MILLION DOLLARS.
These parasites, abolished the old Arbitration Commission, which set OUR wages, but have their Own organisation which sets their wages, it has never, ever refused to grant their annual 3% to 4% Pay rises.
On top of all that cash they also get FREE TRANSPORT to and from work, Free Transport anywhere they want to go. The current Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, Linda Burney chartered a SOLE USE Aircraft to transport her around. The current Prime Minister, Anthony Albanese has spent more time big-noting himself overseas thah he has actually spent in Australia working for Us, and he is about to go on yet another Taxpayer-funded junket. All this expense for the current leader of a country which is almost at the bottom of the list of importance, a very, very minor and insignificant world power. He would rather allow Foreign Troops to be stationed on Australian Soil and doing exactly as the USA tells him than standing up for Australia, his predecessors were/are no different. He wants us to give a very small minority of Australians, less than 4%, Rights and Privilkedges which he refuses to grant the rest of the population. Already thanks to this we have other minority groups within Australian Society who are now demanding that they be granted the same Rights and Privilegdes! If it is good enough for one it is good enough for all.

All I ve noticed is an increase in commercials getting you to invest in real gold. IE .buying bricks and keeping them under your bed? It might be that gold is a good investment for some, but it's not the right move for everyone. Gold is typically considered a low-risk, safe-haven investment, but it's not one that offers high returns. Does anyone have any comment one way or the other? If so, please help me understand via proof or quotes from your sources. In this economy fact...

What s everyone s thoughts on being able to Retire and live on a Cruise Ship
Dianne P (NZ)
When I went on my cruise I met several people who had sold their house and lived permanently on the cruise ship. They do not have to cook, clean, pay rates, house and contents insurance, pay for gardening, power bill, groceries, drinks or maintenance. They are entertained, have company and they have medics on board.

Whatever happened to all cars having a strong steel bumper bar front and back and a thick chassis underneath? Back in the day if you had a crash you can mostly be guaranteed to either drive away or have your car fixed quite quickly with minimal cost. Today have a small bump on the car and it's a completer write-off. Bumper bars and chassis were there for a reason and that reason is safety for the occupants of the car. You may have got a bit shook up but you were never seriously...
Joanne Y 440141
Sure as hell felt safer driving around in my 1957 Chev compared to my 2009 VE Commodore. Older cars were made of real steel and made to last, new cars are just throw away items hence why they have the safety of the air bags etc etc.

Online education offers access to programs for many who can't afford the time or tuition of a traditional degree, but they rely heavily on written assignments and quizzes that AI can easily answer. Can online schools survive in the world of ChatGPT, BingChat etc.?
23
AI will pose challenges to civilization and people, as did the Industrial Revolution in the 19th Century or the introduction of computers in the workplace. AI is an extension of this, and it will be interesting to see how people and the workplace will change.

Do you feel guilty when you watch real-life crime shows? They are so sensationalized and basically exploiting a person's tragic end. I love crime shows but I always wonder if consuming them is ethical. Thoughts?

I do like the way the British do their series such as Midsomer Murders, The Bill, Heartbeat etc. Also like crime shows that actually show the real people at the end of the movie that has been shown. I only watch movies of real life stories and find them very interesting.

If someone has lied to you more than once about certain things. Does that break your trust? If so, is it hard to gain that trust back, or does that make people see you as a bitter person?

There are people I love, but certainly don't trust because of this very issue. Trust is an important but easily broken thing.

Not only are they real, but governments around the world are officially preparing for the first alien contact.
The university of St. Andrews in Scotland has established an alien contact research center.
The Pentagon estimates that there are a possible 4590 extraterrestrial civilizations and are researching the best way to contact and communicate with them.
So, you are correct 'we are not alone'.

I like to go out with friends for a coffee and talk about a variety of topics. Another day I will go to bingo with a family member. Reading is a good pass time in the evening before bed. Walking my dog Jackie Chan every day, no specific times, depending on the weather. I dislike cleaning but it has to be done. shopping twice a week. The computer takes up most of my day. Sad case but I am addicted. The weekend is for visitors or staying in.
Gigi
A past time I enjoy during the week is going to the library and either participating in one of their classes, activities, or just checking out some DVDs or a good non-fiction title to pick through over the month. They also have a "seed library" for checking out any kind of vegetable or underground seedlings for fruit that you can take and give it a go at home in the garden or if you don't have a garden you can try your hand at some herbs.

I have tried eating at restaurants that specify Gluten Free. I have Coeliac disease and am allergic to Wheat. Almost a week ago I went to a nearby Venue for dinner with friends. I ordered a Barramundi and veg. Gluten free. I was assured twice it was gluten free. Unfortunately in the early hours I experienced abdominal pains in my small and large intestine. Almost 6 days later and I am still in pain. Should there be a thorough investigation into Restaurants to make...
Gigi
That's just plain negligence to advertise your selection as gluten free and have it not turn out to be true. You could have had a worse reaction. Celiac disease can be very distressing if you provoke the symptoms with the wrong food. You must say something to the manager and make him comp you a truly gluten free meal. If not, leave a poor review on their website. But dont just let it go......

Wanted to know if anyone still uses remedies or have remedies they don't mind sharing in the comment for colds & flus, with weather getting so much colder than usually this year? I like to go with good old pumpkin soup but with a few dashes of chilli just to give it a good hot kick :)
Carmel C 103964
Can't go by putting a few drops of eucalyptus oil in a bowl of hot water and putting your head over it, covering yourself with a towel and inhaling deeply for a while. Then off to bed with a hot lemon juice and honey drink. Stay hydrated. Rest up, eat a balanced diet, laugh lots and get some sunshine if you can.

Easter seems to changed over the years with many more products on the market. Do you give Easter gifts other than chocolate s? If so, what do you give others at this time of year?

Many may think: Well, that's what a first date is, but what I mean is, if you were sitting alone and another was sitting alone at a restaurant, would you accept the offer (or make the offer) to eat with them? Or, would you even dine alone in the first place?

I guess its a good way to meet people but ive always found it somewhat terrifying eating alone in a restaurant and avoid it.

I joined Rewardia about 2 days ago. I have been inundated with emails about all the surveys available to take but am screened out every time. Either as soon as I open them or after spending ages on "screening" questions. I have spent hours with very little reward. Is it always like this? It's driving me crazy!

Me too. Sometime I finished the survey and while submitting i don't get any points wasting 15 minutes of my precious time doing the survey. This is happening a lot lately I believe Rewardia have become very smart getting the freebies without paying us specially.

My great grandfather WAS the first Maori pilot. His name was Ernest Taniwha Sutherland. On the internet John Pohe is shown as the first (when you type in first Maori pilot) although his first mission was in WW2 and not WW1 like my great grandad. Contacted Veterans' Affairs yet? I am assuming you are talking about an aircraft pilot, not someone who brings ships in and out of port. Why don't you get in touch through Defence with the Royal New Zealand Air Force editor of AIR FORCE NEWS. It would make an interesting feature in their monthly magazine., they are always on the lookout for WWII historical stuff. Push the inaccuracy aspect while you are at it. Reality is that Covid-19 is here in the whole world to stay.... World leaders are more concerned with saving their economies.... Within those countries they are no longer in lockdown and many thousands of fully...

July 2nd every year is celebrated "World UFO day", to raise awareness about Unidentified flying objects & alien life forms. Do they or don't they exist? Are they indeed extra-terrestrial, UFO's controlled by visitors from another world? What exactly is all the unexplained stuff flying in our airspace? Are aliens really visiting us & earth in UFO's? Have you witnessed something strange that you can't explain? Do you think we are alone in the universe?
Edward S 497347
I am now 64yo, when I was in my very early 20s I lived in Cubitt Street Richmond, Victoria, Australia, and late one night I looked out my bedroom window, and up in the dark night sky I saw 3 different coloured lights flickering and hovering. At first I thought it might be a police helicopter so I kept watching it. After a while, it moved through the air, much quicker than any helicopter or plane I knew of. I kept watching, it returned to the same spot and began hovering then suddenly flew up quickly into space and vanished.
The technology of these aliens is far more superior than ours, which is why our world leaders fear them.
These aliens come in peace and probably want to share their technology with us and learn about us as a human race so they can go back to their planet and tell others on their planet that we are a friendly race.
These aliens might be seeing how we are slowly destroying our planet and are visiting us in peace to provide us with the knowledge and technology to save our planet from destruction....But the world leaders are too ignorant to accept that knowledge and technology.

Hocking one's belongings is not ideal obviously. But it's an option if you're broke, struggling, an artist or living paycheck to paycheck. I certainly don't judge people who do it. What are your thoughts on pawn shops and the people who use them?
BLM
I don't get attached to things (I get attached to people)! At this point in my life - I never had to hocked ANYTHING (I never had to use a pawn shop) - hopeful, this trend will continue until the day I die! It goes without saying, I don't judge people who do use pawnshops, however - I judge pawn shop owners (since the the majority of pawnshops are located in the poorest section of a city)!

I prefer to pack my own groceries at the supermarket, even though I have ample bags they always pack to overflow and pack all the cans in together so I can't even lift the bag. Bread laying down on top of one another instead of standing up so it won't squash. Yesterday the flour was in the cold bag, making the paper damp. Am I to picky or do other people have the same gripe?
Queenbee
It is quite often that they will overload your bag and it is dry heavy to put in and out of your trolley. Of course they want to serve and scan quickly and packing takes time. But the supermarkets need have more staff at checkouts and then we all win.

How lovely is it, when we receive a gift where a lot of thought has gone into it? ie: something unconventional or homemade. You remember those kinds of gifts forever. With so many negative things happening in the world - wars, corrupt govt administrations hiding behind religion, the rise of facism , inflation, petrol, diesel & utility costs, housing costs going through the roof, wages not keeping pace, the rise in homelessness, dv etc It would be so easy to lose heart. What makes you hold on to positivity? What makes you laugh? What is you go to when you feel down?
Phyllis 1708060
There are two things that will always lift my mood. One is flowers. I have been called a "flower nut". Just glancing at my flowers on my balcony puts me in a good mood, or seeing them in someone's garden as I walk by. My second mood lifter is music. I started listening to my father's radio when I was five years old, and I was always wearing out the batteries. When he couldn't find the radio he knew it would be with me. Then he just had to find me! It got so bad he gave in and got me my own little radio with a big supply of batteries! I still can't be without music. TV I can do without, but not my music.

How many times have you answered all the questions to a survey, sometimes multiples in the same breath, just to get at last to the actual survey, and they ask you all these questions again, then oh, Im sorry, you dont qualify Just so sick of all of them, and Azure wants to delve into all your info before you are even accepted. I try to do a couple a day, but its very frustrating.

Yes, Rusty, it is annoying and all the survey sites do it, so I just chill and plough through, and hope I earn my 50 cents at the end of it. I just did a really interesting survey which was quite unusual and refreshing - wonders will never cease. Happy New Year anyway Rusty.

What might you do if your wife went to court and granted an EPO against you for no good reason. You have not done anything wrong, but EPO was created, police delivered you EPO and asked you to leave your home
Bugalugs
Pack your bags, sell the house without telling her and leave the country with the proceeds. Far too often are the men cast as the evil doers, they are always in the wrong, they can never, ever do anything right or decent. Conversely their wives are always cast as the Innocent Victims, Pure, incapable of saying anything nasty, of cruelty. Wrong, ladies and gents, you could not be more wrong if you tried.

My mother s lifelong love of gambling on days that ended with a Y was well known. Her poison was the pokies and keno, the dedication she gave her addiction and sheer resolve to get rid of as much money as possible before she passed was admirable Not being a gambler I found it to be an incredibly destructive addiction. Most of us have various shoes/footware to match every event, season, taste and those moments. So much of our time is spent on the net, but I'm wondering if it is right that I might put up a birthday message to someone and then have another friend add a happy birthday sentiment even though they do not know them?

I have 5 beautiful grandchildren ranging in age from 18 months to 9 years. They have so many toys, books & games. Each birthday & Christmas I try to think of something different for them. The 9 year old's last birthday I chose a membership to a Kids Conservation club. She gets invited to fun activities, plus receives relevant activity books & parcels every few months. There are activities they can do as a family. Like visiting the glow worms, studying crabs etc. Do most...

As the heading says, Should Optus be allowed to continue operating after the major hack and release of their customer's private details? Keep in mind that if the government was to force them to cease operations then Optus would just start trading under a different business name then their new customers would not be aware of the risk hey would be taking. Also keep in mind that for many years Optus has also been trading under the name of DODO

My wife is 5 years older than me. When we had been together for a year and it came to asking her to marry me she found out then. I don't think that's a lie but she just assumed I was older. She still married me though and we've been married for 46 years.

REDLINING (by white bankers) is used as an excuse to deny black people access to loans, keeping them in neighborhoods with lower property values and little investment opportunities. Meanwhile, white neighborhoods, were seen as more desirable, worthy of development, and easier access to loans. Welcome to the real USA!
Jellypony
Oh Walter W that happens every where not just in America and yes it is very wrong and very unethical, but the bank needs guarantees and unless some one is going to guarentee that the black man won't forfeit on a loan they simply won't give it to any of them. Very sad and very unjust. It happens all the time and the black man works just as hard as a white man (maybe some times even harder.) But what can one do, go guarantor on a loan for some one they don't know? Would you do that?

Would you move countries at the drop of the hat? Only having less than a month to decide I've done it. It was a blast. I left NZ to go and live in Dallas, Texas (San Antonio, Arlington, and Grand Prairie) back in 2000. I lived there for the next 8 1/2 years and had a blast. Unfortunate circumstances meant that I had to move back to NZ, and it's where I had stayed since. Given the opportunity. I would so do it again in a heartbeat, but somewhere different...

I am rather taken with Finland. It is known as the happiest country on earth. Their language is hard to learn I believe. I think I could live there for a few years. This is a faux poll to poll whether it is worth doing a poll on Rewardia. How long do people normally wait til their poll comes up? Do some people never have their poll suggestion ever appear? Who decides? So many questions...so little time. Does anyone care haha. A. no B. maybe C. no D. yaaaaawn
Thomas (Rewardia Support)
Hi Mary. I have asked our content manager about it, here is the answer: you have 1 published Daily Poll and 5 declined. Two of them were about "What would your favourite dog be?" or so, declined because we already have a lot of "dog" Polls. The reason for the rest three polls is a very trivial - the text of the Question is too long. If we've got some Polls with a long text in the Question and some compact ones, shorts will win

You may find the following tips helpful. Use a bowl in the sink when washing fruit, vegetables or dishes. You can then use the waste water to water your plants. Fill a jug with water and put it in the fridge for when you want a cool drink. Turn off the tap when you clean your teeth. A running tap uses up to nine litres of water a minute. If possible, take a shower instead of a bath. A five-minute shower uses about 40 litres of water. This is about...

I use it most of the time instead of a computer. I download and read books, do banking, play games, do surveys, take and edit photos, send texts and emails, research products, order products, watch videos, listen to music, read the news, find recipes and craft patterns, learn French and Chinese, book tickets and accommodation and ask questions about anything I want to know. That takes up most of my day! I very rarely use it to ring people.

I'm starting to feel like a second class citizen, what with Aboriginal designs on just about everything and Aboriginal names everywhere. People are not allowed to call Aboriginals black but they are allowed to call us white. The even have their own flag, I thought we were all Australians. I won't mention all the freebees they get at the expense of the taxpayer.
BLM
Question: Are you going to give Aboriginals back their land and leave Australia (which white Australians took by illegal means)? Furthermore, white Australians' politicians get freebees at the expense of the taxpayers - all the time! What is your point? NO - colonialism was NEVER a good thing for indigenous people or minorities!

Progress continues to be made on developing toilets that undertake fecal and urine analysis when you use it. This can detect disease and warning signs of poor health, and even send the results to your doctor over the internet. Would you use this toilet or is it too invasive? How would you feel if your toilet told you you've overinduldged in greasy foods, etc.? How would this work if a visitor used it? Is Artificial Intelligence development getting out of control?
Frank N
In my experience doctors have not been too good at detecting health issues, including some major ones. Given that, a toilet that provides health data could be an advantage.

Do you believe that the internet is a possible risk for starting WW3? We hear of occasionally, or read of situations of spying that goes on by some countries, esp by Nations of ... influence, Such as China, Russia, North Korea. There is only so much our Government Internet security teams.. can do to keep us safe. Some of these corrupt nations have a lot to gain by spying, and Westernized ..Nations .... like our own are worried! Spying on on other nations...

What do you think of all of the recent remakes, past and present? Are new ideas becoming scarce? Have you actually found a production (remake) of an old film or TV series, that was enjoyable?? Well, regardless of how we feel, the film 'King Kong' has another remake.

Many of the old movies are better than some of the rubbish and stories made today. The ne movies could not be classed as entertainment.

I read recently that purchasing these products in public makes some people feel awkward. I kinda felt that was weird. I mean it's not the 1800s. There is nothing to feel ashamed about. Most people out shopping are only focused on themselves anyway.

Not really for these products (part of life, as has been said here), but I was in line behind someone who was looking - it turned out - for some anti-nit shampoo. The word "woke" has crept into our vocabulary and found a permanent home. But do people understand what it actually means? I see it used in the wrong context all the time. What does "woke" mean to you?
Lachelle B
It hasn't crept into our vocabulary. If you use it in the wrong context you need to improve your English. What I do hate is when people say tooken instead of taken! We will eventually degenerate into neanderthals again with the horrid grammar, speech and antisocial behaviour around nowadays. Grunt grunt!

It seems like imprisonment to me. I mean with DNA testing, the pill and women being financially independent. I'm not really sure what the drawcard is. Does anyone know? As one of my friends says: "Why get engaged when there is call waiting?"

If you truly believe in God, you will realise why people get married. Marriage is a type of Christ and his bride, and when Christ returns he will take those who believe in him to be his bride, and they will live with him in bliss and everlasting joy for eternity. You see, the Bible teaches that the kingdom of God will be on earth. In the meantime by being married we are glorifying God who wants us to be faithful to our partner in this life, just as we must be faithful to God. Marriage is a big commitment but it is very worthwhile from a scriptural point of view.

If so, what was the item? And was assembling it as easy as IKEA makes out? I am curious if they live up to their legend.
Avatar Queen
Have only ever purchased 1 item (as far as I can remember) - got someone else to put it together for me as it was so complicated and takes so long to put it together. The process of finally finding it in the store, selection of the wanted item, collection from the assembly store down the bottom and then getting it paid for, let alone getting it home again is a mission in itself - who has the expertise or energy left to put the item together. Only impetus is saving the $70+ dollars they want for getting someone from their store to assemble it for you. Much prefer to go somewhere else & pay a bit more but get the item in one piece at home. I'm too old to try doing the gymnastics required to assemble the IKEA items.

To make soft Cinnamon Rolls, prepare a dough with flour, warm milk, yeast, sugar, butter, and an egg. Let it rise until doubled. Roll out the dough, spread with butter, then sprinkle a mixture of brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll it up, cut into pieces, and place in a greased baking pan. Let them rise again, then bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 25 minutes until golden. While still warm, pour over a simple glaze made with milk and icing sugar.

When I purchase a bunch of anything that has roots, mainly shallots, they go straight into the ground. They just keep on giving. I only have to purchase about two bunches a year. My mum has always done that so I guess I learned from her. A few years back it was a big thing. I remember people regrowing celery. I managed that one, but an idiot who lives in my house thought it was a weed and that was the end of that.

It drives me nuts when you see a survey on Rewardia's survey page and it says 10 minutes. You click on it and now the survey says it will take 20 minutes. Happens all the time that the surveys are usually longer than advertised. When that happens I just close the survey, if they can't be honest about the time then they don't get my answers.
keimanzero
Most surveys say that in 'timed tests, it has been found that this survey takes 8 to 10 minutes to complete'. This does not take into account the fact that many surveys have essay questions, pay attention questions, I am not a robot questions and that they usually ask the same BS questions over and over again thus making that 8 to 10 minutes more like an hour or two. Beware! Most 25 point surveys usually take an hour or two or three even! Rule of thumb- always assume that surveys can be very short or very long regardless of what they tell you! If you don't have the time needed and you are not sure if you can save the survey for later, do not start surveys you are not sure of their length. What I hate is when they tell you that you must accumulate X number of points before you can cashout! BTW Rewardia requires 50K points for $50 cash or gift cards/codes.

Mix chicken pieces with flour, chili powder, turmeric, salt, and ginger-garlic paste, then fry until golden brown.
