Budget, that's what I was told as a teenager. A few may help in small ways but seeing a doctor is important. If a doctor recommends herbs or alternate treatments then I will take their advice. Taking a couple of his recommendations already. As for being the "only way" then that's just not true. They probably have some value but that's all. There are so many medicines, vitimins and other treatments that can be used. I use herbs in cooking for flavour but have not seen any evidence good or bad on my health but that does not mean there isn't.

Work with those hours is availlable as I know a lady who works those hours at a large furniture outlet, who finishes at 3pm to pick her kids up from school. She works 4 days per week. From personal experience, my wife looked after our family for 25 years. The kids have all moved on with the exception of our 14 year old. So at 51 she decided she wanted to work, and put in resume after resume with dozens of businesses. Her first job was as a house keeper in a resort. Early start, deadlines and hard yakka. She kept putting resumes in and after about 2 years ended up getting work in a supermarket. She now is a supervisor/assistant manager, works under contract between 20 and 30 hours per week being on call. For mental health reasons, this has been most beneficial for her. It can be a nightmare to see a doctor in rural towns. And to make things worse, in our town the clinic insists that if you need to book an appointment, you need to ring up at a quarter to nine in the morning so they can slot you in. Any other time you ring up they simply brush you off and tell you to call at that specific time the next day. Trouble is, you try to ring at that time, and every man and his dog is also trying to ring through, and the line is so busy you can never get through. It's crazy. And now even pensioners are asked to pay a gap fee to see a doctor. There's no bulk billing anymore. As if everyone is not financially stretched enough at this time due to inflation!! I can see many people not bothering to see a doctor at all now when they really should be, and then getting really sick, perhaps even dying. Clearly $20 might not seem a big deal to politicians and to those running the clinic, but it's a lot of money to pensioners. And if you arrange a consultation via telephone the gap fee is even more - $27. How do they work that one out? I thought the whole point of tele-health appointments was to encourage people to take it up, especially with COVID over the last few years. But why do this when it's cheaper to physically see the doctor?

As we have seen in Australia, and reportedly overseas as well, there was a huge spike in the price of houses in recent years, Interest Rates were low, and Yes, Australia's Reserve Bank told us that they would remain low until at least 2024 which was wrong but it was inevitable they would start to go up sometime. Young people kept on borrowing huge amounts of money without giving a thought to the future. They wanted and "Must Have" everything. Interest Rates started to rise and have kept rising. House Prices are dropping, wages are remaining stagnant and now people are in trouble. Their houses are now worth less than what they owe the banks, eventually people won't be able to keep up the payments, the banks will foreclose and then what? People will start demanding that "The Government does something". I make no apology for writing this, but people have brought this on themselves. Greed and Self-Gratification are now the God Kings.

Potatoes are easy to grow and keep down the weeds as well ... plant some a few weeks apart as to have new ones constantly coming up and just dig up what you immediately need ... treat the ground as your cellar ... can do the same with lettuce as well, just peel off as in break off what you need, try not to cut it with a knife so it doesn't start going brown ... If they bought the cost down a good bit many people would take it up but every July up it goes and people start to pull out. Our health system here in Australia over the past 10 or so years has just gone down and down with hospitals closed, staff shortages but costs rising in part due to the top people getting paid very high salaries. No, they are public servants, so are paid by the public to serve. They are all on good money, and apart from nurses have very good hours and benefits. If you aren't happy in your job then leave, but of course they won't because they never get sacked and their super will provide them with a very good income, while they are comparatively young, for the rest of their lives. I always worked in the private sector where you daren't strike in case they worked out that they could do without you and if your weren't happy you looked elsewhere. In my view they hold the public to ransom.

I buy via reliable sites like ebay & PayPal I also have a separate bank account and transfer money into it for each sale. This way I have the protection from PayPal, Ebay, Debit Card and Bank if anything goes wrong. In 15 years I have very few problems and those I have had resolved fast , if seller is a problem, paypal or ebay step in and refund and I just dont use those sellers, I also like the fact that you can check how good the seller are buy feed back, So I never buy from anyone with less the 99.0 % satisfaction. I think that we as a society have become more self centred and poverty and grief, if we don't actually SEE it, becomes "out of sight and out of mind". We have been conditioned over the past 20 months or so to fear one another because we might "catch" something and because of this fear for our own health and our family's health we don't go up to someone and ask them if they're OK or if there's something we can do for them preferring to do, as I believe one of the Health Officials for government stated "don't stop and talk to anyone, just do what you have to and go home", something I thought was atrocious at the time and still do. If we lose our humanity then who cares if we get sick or not! Our isolation has not only caused the suicide and raging mental health crisis we now have in our country and around the world but a pandemic of loneliness. More people, not less, will be mourning this Christmas and, for them, I pray that Christmas passes quickly. We all have a choice to make as to whether we shut the curtains and keep out the world or do we contribute in whatever way is possible for us and help at least one human being today? Choice is ours!

I have heard others say that if you shop at Woolworths close to closing time a lot of things get marked down so they don't need to pack them in the freezer or cold room. I have managed to get things at both Coles and Woolworths that were marked down quite a bit both meat and other pantry staples. I always keep a look out for parsnips and grab them quick smart, can't understand if they are grown in the same manner as carrots whey they would cost so mark more. Use the thicker end in Roast and the other in soups and stews.

In the situation you are mentioning, I have a a blind friend. She was born blind. I can converse with her about anything (and I do converse with her about anything). She mentally toughened me up for life (it is what best friends do for each other), and assistance me in pulling out the assertiveness that was in me out. Life can turn on you (in unexpected ways, become horrible, and have a numbing effect on your decison making process). Still what I learned from her: NEVER GIVE UP. YOU ONLY GET ONE LIFE. GO FOR IT!

Well, if the parent had actually paid for the 4 year old to join, then if you had any extra gift bags, sure, why wouldn't you give the uninvited kid a gift bag? She did pay for them to join in. But she cant expect you to have extra if she did not inform you with enough preparation time. The parent who added her 4yo kid to the party should just ask her 6yr old invited kid to share their gift bag with their younger sibling and explain honestly to their kids why. Am sick of parents not being honest with their kids and not being considerate enough to ask a host beforehand if it would be ok to add an extra guest. Would save both mothers ALL of this 'drama' occuring in the first place.

Getting to sleep is very much like the type of dreams you have when you fall asleep. The length of time it takes to get to sleep depends entirely on things like medical conditions, the amount of stress you were under that day, problems in your life, noise around you, and how active your mind is when you go to bed. The best way to get a good night's sleep is to try to clear your mind of all worries before going to bed or failing that, to listen to some relaxing music in bed. NO eating for at least one hour before going to bed, NO computer use for at least one hour before going to bed, leave your mobile ( cell ) phone in another room, NOT worry about things you have to do the next day instead write a list of those things before going to bed. Having said all of that, I am the type of person who cares about others and worry a lot about things which are going on in the world and it takes me between one and four hours to get to sleep ( Living on a highway with traffic all day / night does not help either ). As a result of this, I average 3 to 4 hours of sleep at night, then I get up and do surveys, then do whatever else I need to do that day then have 2 to 4 hours sleep during the day. Counting sheep does not always work for some people because if you go to bed hungry then while you count the sheep they might start turning into lamb chops LOL

I honestly thought this was already happening. We are eventually going to run out of space for graves in our cemeteries, as interesting as it is seeing the historical graves from over 100 years ago it may come down to those sites needing to be reused... More and more people seem to be opting for cremation nowadays however, so maybe it won't be as big an issue as predicted... Cemeteries may well become more for those that are religiously inclined. I know all my family are wanting to be cremated, personally I like the idea of those environmental burial pods where you go in the ground and return to the earth; plant a tree on top of me and I will be happy :)

I sent my oldest 3 children to school , then took them out and have been home educating for 4 yrs and my 5yr old hasn’t even been to kindy! Yes and two years later am still waiting to see any of it. They have since become non friends over a different incident and in the time since we have also found out they didn't use the money for the emergency medical treatment they said it was for but they did at least enjoy a night at the casino on us. Yes, I think the customer service definitely has declined when I tried to get hold of Vodafone to sort out some problems. I was put on hold every time when I called its call centre and I had to wait for 45 minutes on one stage. They seem to enjoy transferring me to different departments and promising the next department will help me. I ended up having to speak to 4 different people in one occasion and I was told different stories by those 4 people. There are no email addresses to contact Vodafone. I could only use the online virtual robot option and eventually it still requested me to call the same toll free phone number that I could never get help with. The problems were never solved and I have given up.

We will never return to the USA after Trump's crazy behaviour and his insulting behaviour towards other countries because he cannot dominate the world. We are blessed to live in Australia where we have so many wonderful places to see, experience and learn from. We also have all the beautiful Pacific Islands and now flights are so cheap to the friendly European countries. Who needs to watch the Americans suffering in their own country because of a madman?

I had this a fair few years back at the supermarket while I was checking out @ 40 yrs old ,,busy unloading stuff onto the conveyor,,I had been to the beach and my hair was down ,no makeup ,,the woman in front was chatting to the checkout girl about someone in a movie and they couldn't remember her name ,,ohh what's her name ? They said..but doesn't she look just like her ? It was then I looked up thinking one was showing another a photo ,,but no they were both looking straight at me ! In fact when I mentioned who I thought it was (as I had been stopped in the street another time by a spruiker for the same thing and also been told by a work colleague as well )and they said YES! ,,l was totally happy for the day ! Of course the best comes from family when my sister grounds me and said only in a distant photo you do !
