Which do you prefer your pet to be, Male or female? Which is easier to look after? Would like to read your opinions.

I like to have cats and I always get females. They interact differently to the males and I find it easier to communicate with them….just waiting for my new Ragdolls to be born…lol

Has anyone had any type of account hacked before? We had our Netflix hacked recently, they hacked it and watched few movies and TV shows. If you were hacked what did you do besides change password
Dizza
Both my and my husband's credit card were hacked and instead of doing nothing but cancel the card and have a new one sent out and my money reimbursed by the credit card company. I went on a mission to find out who it was. To cut a long story short, I contacted the merchants and found out the name, address, phone number and e-mail addresses of the two perpetrators and handed it over to police (needless to say I also stopped the goods from being sent out). I then also contacted the local newspaper (The Mercury) and they printed an article on how I was able to track down the hackers, I also wanted to share valuable tips on how people can avoid this from happening to them from the info I got from police. The article was in yesterday's Mercury and took up almost a full page. I also noticed that The Telegraph had the article in digital version too. I urge others to make the effort to do the same, because if no one does anything, these people will know they can do it again and again and always get away with it!

According to me love marriage is better because the partners know each other so well and hence will have a comprehensive understating of the other person .

Marrying someone you love and have a connection with, the person you choose and they choose you to spend the rest of your lives together is better. Would not like to be with someone i didnt love.

When you leave a partner and you have a pet is it appropriate / ideal to have shared custody?
LESLEY S 385154
I'm pleased to have never been put into this situation and never will. It is hard when your pet passes away so I think sharing would be as difficult as well. I think maybe for the pet let it decide.

Within a very limited budget and wanting to do my bit, it is easy in small ways. Composting food waste, don t chuck it in the bin, take your soft plastics to Coles, they recycle it for you. You can put all you garden waste on the garden, just put it on top and let it dry out, you can buy Bioplastcs now in snack bags, sandwich bags and bin liners, wait until they are on special at Woolies or Coles. If you haven t the finances for Solar or Water Tanks, these are just...

My partner really wants an Xbox and expects me to help pay for it. I tried to explain to him that I shouldn't have to help pay for his console since I won't be using it myself, although he believes I should help since his last one smashed due to us having an argument. He has asked me nicely, but I know it's all part of the act, at the moment I'm not to sure what to do since Christmas is coming up and who wouldn't buy their loved ones something they really want? What would...

He sounds very selfish .I would be looking for a new boyfriend. Part of the Christmas spirit is to give what you can afford & give it with love.A surprise is good fun. Of course he's asked nicely & you are a wake up to the "act" bye the way has he said what he is buying you for a gift . I'd be looking for a more sincere man & give him his marching orders

They seem to either a). dial down their dreams in front of others in fear of what they might think or b). Disguise their aspirations with humour. Both are gutless, don't you think? When you have a dream, you should stand in your power. Dreaming small serves no-one!

I was brought up to believe not everyone will be pleased for whatever I do or have. I have learnt to be a little careful how loud I shout from the roof tops and tend to keep it within my immediate family and friends. Who wants to shop with little kids running around screaming and causing havoc. I didn t birth them and they are not my problem. I should be able to shop for my groceries in peace. A childfree supermarket would give the childless amongst us a choice.

Wow! What has this world come to when this is considered a serious question?? We were all children once so shame on anyone for knocking parents just trying to do their best.
Can we also then have supermarkets that refuse entry to ignorant adults?? I would like to shop in a moron free environment.

There is so much to be learnt from the elderly. They've lived through wars and journeyed through struggles we couldn't even comprehend. Yet they are almost dismissed by society. It really annoys me.
Cat Claw
When you're elderly, you either become invisible or an irritation. Younger people (and I include those well into their 40's even) become impatient with older people who are stuggling physically. I've seen it at supermarket check-outs all the time, the operator will whizz all the groceries through while the elderly person tries to keep up, then when the elder fumbles around trying to pay, those standing in line start sighing with impatience. I've even seen in family situations, the younger generations laughing or mocking their elders when they are trying to participate in a conversation. The whole 'ok boomer' tagline is the new "you wouldn't understand becuase you are not a parent' putdown that people who don't want to listen use. Elderly people deserve far more respect and patience than what they currently get.

Economists say that the future could possibly be cashless. But it could be problematic for low-income individuals. Do you think this would work or not ? If so, why?
Bugalugs
I already almost entirely do. I am no techno genius, nerd or particularly "modern" but I find I can manage my money better, I pay all my bills electronically (is that "digitally"?), have numerous accounts (with the same bank) and divide my income between them for specific reasons (Utilities, phone, rates etc.) so the money is always there when a bill is due. All my grocery buying is done using a Debit card.

This breakfast plate is simple, healthy, and balanced. It includes a soft omelette seasoned lightly with pepper and cooked with small pieces of onion for extra flavour. Fresh baby carrots add a nice crunch, while a handful of pistachios gives protein and healthy fats. A small slice of cheese adds richness to the plate, and the meal is completed with a refreshing glass of orange juice. Overall, it s a quick and nutritious morning meal.

Having just paid, home and contents with the car insurance now due, why do premiums go up between 25% and 50% when I have not made any claims? Well the good ole MP's have given themselves another pay rise equivalent to a pension or newstart etc. and that's without all the other benefits they receive including millions spent on flights. Aussies are losing their homes, living on the street due to lack or loss of housing, eating less, giving up pets as they cannot afford to feed them, going without heating and or air conditioning, and even a cup of coffee out is off the list for many these days and these trough eaters think...
Bugalugs
Our corrupt and totally Dishonest Federal and State Politicians claim they cannot refuse the massive pay rises the Not-So-Independent Remuneration Commission - it should be remembered that it is Appointed by the Politicians so it is 100% Owned by them, never mind that we, the Taxpayers, are not allowed to know who it is that actually makes up this Remuneration Commission, we can bet it will include former politicians, judges, senior public servants - These massive and totally unjustified Pay Rises do not simply end with Federal Politicians they flow through to the Federal Public Service chiefs, Judiciary, State and Territory politicians and all of their senior Public Servants and the Judiciary. Think on this. There are some Public Servants who are being paid 100s of 1000s more than the Prime Minister, State Premiers and Territory First Ministers!
Our obscene politicians then use that lovely cash to buy countless Residential Properties which they charge ever-increasing rents for and then they Negfatively Gear the lot so that they end up paying NO INCOME TAX at all. It is no wonder that they all oppose any suggestion that Negatively Gearing should be abolished. One ALP, yes a politicians who supposedly represents the Down-trodden Masses, owns so many properties that he oh-so-conveniently forgot to mention that just a few years ago and before the price of housing escalated as it has done recently, he owned one property which was worth OVER ONE MILLION DOLLARS.
These parasites, abolished the old Arbitration Commission, which set OUR wages, but have their Own organisation which sets their wages, it has never, ever refused to grant their annual 3% to 4% Pay rises.
On top of all that cash they also get FREE TRANSPORT to and from work, Free Transport anywhere they want to go. The current Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, Linda Burney chartered a SOLE USE Aircraft to transport her around. The current Prime Minister, Anthony Albanese has spent more time big-noting himself overseas thah he has actually spent in Australia working for Us, and he is about to go on yet another Taxpayer-funded junket. All this expense for the current leader of a country which is almost at the bottom of the list of importance, a very, very minor and insignificant world power. He would rather allow Foreign Troops to be stationed on Australian Soil and doing exactly as the USA tells him than standing up for Australia, his predecessors were/are no different. He wants us to give a very small minority of Australians, less than 4%, Rights and Privilkedges which he refuses to grant the rest of the population. Already thanks to this we have other minority groups within Australian Society who are now demanding that they be granted the same Rights and Privilegdes! If it is good enough for one it is good enough for all.

Whatever happened to all cars having a strong steel bumper bar front and back and a thick chassis underneath? Back in the day if you had a crash you can mostly be guaranteed to either drive away or have your car fixed quite quickly with minimal cost. Today have a small bump on the car and it's a completer write-off. Bumper bars and chassis were there for a reason and that reason is safety for the occupants of the car. You may have got a bit shook up but you were never seriously...
Joanne Y 440141
Sure as hell felt safer driving around in my 1957 Chev compared to my 2009 VE Commodore. Older cars were made of real steel and made to last, new cars are just throw away items hence why they have the safety of the air bags etc etc.

Sad case but I am addicted. The weekend is for visitors or staying in.

A past time I enjoy during the week is going to the library and either participating in one of their classes, activities, or just checking out some DVDs or a good non-fiction title to pick through over the month. They also have a "seed library" for checking out any kind of vegetable or underground seedlings for fruit that you can take and give it a go at home in the garden or if you don't have a garden you can try your hand at some herbs.

I have tried eating at restaurants that specify Gluten Free. I have Coeliac disease and am allergic to Wheat. Almost a week ago I went to a nearby Venue for dinner with friends. I ordered a Barramundi and veg. Gluten free. I was assured twice it was gluten free. Unfortunately in the early hours I experienced abdominal pains in my small and large intestine. Almost 6 days later and I am still in pain. Should there be a thorough investigation into Restaurants to make...
Gigi
That's just plain negligence to advertise your selection as gluten free and have it not turn out to be true. You could have had a worse reaction. Celiac disease can be very distressing if you provoke the symptoms with the wrong food. You must say something to the manager and make him comp you a truly gluten free meal. If not, leave a poor review on their website. But dont just let it go......

Me too. Sometime I finished the survey and while submitting i don't get any points wasting 15 minutes of my precious time doing the survey. This is happening a lot lately I believe Rewardia have become very smart getting the freebies without paying us specially.

My great grandfather WAS the first Maori pilot. His name was Ernest Taniwha Sutherland. On the internet John Pohe is shown as the first (when you type in first Maori pilot) although his first mission was in WW2 and not WW1 like my great grandad. The second was William Barnard Rhodes Tai Tapu. How do you fix this? You would not know my great grandfathers' name unless you specifically typed it in. Not a single 'journalist' nor...

Contacted Veterans' Affairs yet? I am assuming you are talking about an aircraft pilot, not someone who brings ships in and out of port. Why don't you get in touch through Defence with the Royal New Zealand Air Force editor of AIR FORCE NEWS. It would make an interesting feature in their monthly magazine., they are always on the lookout for WWII historical stuff. Push the inaccuracy aspect while you are at it. What records does the Air Force Museum have at Wigram?

Reality is that Covid-19 is here in the whole world to stay.... World leaders are more concerned with saving their economies.... Therefore they are pushing everyone to get vaccinated by telling everyone the vaccine will protect them. Countries such as USA and Britain have vaccinated a very high percentage of people with both doses and are now giving people a 3rd dose. Within those countries they are no longer in lockdown and many thousands of fully...

Vaccinated, stay at home, only go out if necessarily. Learn to live with the virus in our communities. We at the moment have other things to worry about. My brother who is 59 suffered 2 heart attack, he's in hospital and he's now we think okay. Puts things into perspective really.

July 2nd every year is celebrated "World UFO day", to raise awareness about Unidentified flying objects & alien life forms. Do they or don't they exist? Are they indeed extra-terrestrial, UFO's controlled by visitors from another world? What exactly is all the unexplained stuff flying in our airspace? Are aliens really visiting us & earth in UFO's? Have you witnessed something strange that you can't explain? Do you think we are alone in the universe?
Edward S 497347
I am now 64yo, when I was in my very early 20s I lived in Cubitt Street Richmond, Victoria, Australia, and late one night I looked out my bedroom window, and up in the dark night sky I saw 3 different coloured lights flickering and hovering. At first I thought it might be a police helicopter so I kept watching it. After a while, it moved through the air, much quicker than any helicopter or plane I knew of. I kept watching, it returned to the same spot and began hovering then suddenly flew up quickly into space and vanished.
The technology of these aliens is far more superior than ours, which is why our world leaders fear them.
These aliens come in peace and probably want to share their technology with us and learn about us as a human race so they can go back to their planet and tell others on their planet that we are a friendly race.
These aliens might be seeing how we are slowly destroying our planet and are visiting us in peace to provide us with the knowledge and technology to save our planet from destruction....But the world leaders are too ignorant to accept that knowledge and technology.

Hocking one's belongings is not ideal obviously. But it's an option if you're broke, struggling, an artist or living paycheck to paycheck. I certainly don't judge people who do it. What are your thoughts on pawn shops and the people who use them?
BLM
I don't get attached to things (I get attached to people)! At this point in my life - I never had to hocked ANYTHING (I never had to use a pawn shop) - hopeful, this trend will continue until the day I die! It goes without saying, I don't judge people who do use pawnshops, however - I judge pawn shop owners (since the the majority of pawnshops are located in the poorest section of a city)!

I prefer to pack my own groceries at the supermarket, even though I have ample bags they always pack to overflow and pack all the cans in together so I can't even lift the bag. Bread laying down on top of one another instead of standing up so it won't squash. Yesterday the flour was in the cold bag, making the paper damp. Am I to picky or do other people have the same gripe?
Queenbee
It is quite often that they will overload your bag and it is dry heavy to put in and out of your trolley. Of course they want to serve and scan quickly and packing takes time. But the supermarkets need have more staff at checkouts and then we all win.

How lovely is it, when we receive a gift where a lot of thought has gone into it? ie: something unconventional or homemade. You remember those kinds of gifts forever. It's easy to buy someone chocolates or flowers, as nice as they are. What is the most thoughtful gift you have ever given or received? And why was it so special?

How many times have you answered all the questions to a survey, sometimes multiples in the same breath, just to get at last to the actual survey, and they ask you all these questions again, then oh, Im sorry, you dont qualify Just so sick of all of them, and Azure wants to delve into all your info before you are even accepted. I try to do a couple a day, but its very frustrating.

Yes, Rusty, it is annoying and all the survey sites do it, so I just chill and plough through, and hope I earn my 50 cents at the end of it. I just did a really interesting survey which was quite unusual and refreshing - wonders will never cease. Happy New Year anyway Rusty.

What might you do if your wife went to court and granted an EPO against you for no good reason. You have not done anything wrong, but EPO was created, police delivered you EPO and asked you to leave your home
Bugalugs
Pack your bags, sell the house without telling her and leave the country with the proceeds. Far too often are the men cast as the evil doers, they are always in the wrong, they can never, ever do anything right or decent. Conversely their wives are always cast as the Innocent Victims, Pure, incapable of saying anything nasty, of cruelty. Wrong, ladies and gents, you could not be more wrong if you tried.
Why has there been an explosion in the number of men committing suicide? They have been driven to it by the Courts and disatisfied partners wanting ever more.

With daylight savings approaching one begs to ask the question - are you a early bird or a night owl? When I was younger-in my teens I proffered being a night owl. But as I got older-with adult responsibilities-I like to go to bed at a reasonable time so I can get up in the morning to get ready for work.

I just saw a news story that a woman in the US was in a cafe, the service wasn't good, so she ate what she ordered and then paid for it, and then left, but she never left or gave a Tip. The worker then called the Police because the No Tip was given. Not sure if any action was taken by the Police. There are so many things that should have you checking your Receipts after going shopping Deli counter items Check the weight and price. Specials getting charged normal price. 1 can Chickpeas 1/2 cup Tahini 1/4 cup Lemon juice 2 Garlic cloves Salt Cayenne pepper or any other spice you'd prefer. 1/3 cup water This is really easy to make Blend all the ingredients together, and you get a nice hummus for a dip etc. I also sprinkle fresh parsley onto from my own garden :) The amount in the photo, I used double the ingredients. Enjoy

Thanks Ange. I always make sure that I have all these ingredients at home and available at all times. I don't know if many people realise how very nutritious this is as well as being tasty too. Here in New Zealand, there is the government's free SuperGold Card for people aged 65+ which offers discounts and deals for all sorts of goods and services. The website has a searchable list: https://www.supergold.govt.nz
A couple of everyday examples are ...
Most supermarkets have a special discount day each week for SuperGold Card holders, usually a Tuesday. It's only 5% off everything, but every little bit helps.
Caltex petrol stations offer an extra 2% discount for SuperGold Card holders, on top of any normal discount everyone else gets.
Off-peak travel on public transport is free.
Australia has a similar Australian Seniors Card system, and the two are reciprical to some degree, so New Zealander SuperGold Card holders visiting Australia can take advantage of the Australian Seniors Card deals, and vice versa.

My mother s lifelong love of gambling on days that ended with a Y was well known. Her poison was the pokies and keno, the dedication she gave her addiction and sheer resolve to get rid of as much money as possible before she passed was admirable Not being a gambler I found it to be an incredibly destructive addiction. She would say watching all the reels going round relieved her stress . She never won big.

Most of us have various shoes/footware to match every event, season, taste and those moments. Yet, recently my podiatrist admitted that their office makes so much money from people who wear crocs and shoes that were never suited to the shape of their own feet nor their own walking patterns/gait. As the heading says, Should Optus be allowed to continue operating after the major hack and release of their customer's private details? Keep in mind that if the government was to force them to cease operations then Optus would just start trading under a different business name then their new customers would not be aware of the risk hey would be taking. Also keep in mind that for many years Optus has also been trading under the name of DODO

REDLINING (by white bankers) is used as an excuse to deny black people access to loans, keeping them in neighborhoods with lower property values and little investment opportunities. Meanwhile, white neighborhoods, were seen as more desirable, worthy of development, and easier access to loans. Welcome to the real USA!
Jellypony
Oh Walter W that happens every where not just in America and yes it is very wrong and very unethical, but the bank needs guarantees and unless some one is going to guarentee that the black man won't forfeit on a loan they simply won't give it to any of them. Very sad and very unjust. It happens all the time and the black man works just as hard as a white man (maybe some times even harder.) But what can one do, go guarantor on a loan for some one they don't know? Would you do that?

Would you move countries at the drop of the hat? Only having less than a month to decide I've done it. It was a blast. This is a faux poll to poll whether it is worth doing a poll on Rewardia. How long do people normally wait til their poll comes up? Do some people never have their poll suggestion ever appear? Who decides? So many questions...so little time. Does anyone care haha. A. no B. maybe C. no D. yaaaaawn
Thomas (Rewardia Support)
Hi Mary. I have asked our content manager about it, here is the answer: you have 1 published Daily Poll and 5 declined. Two of them were about "What would your favourite dog be?" or so, declined because we already have a lot of "dog" Polls. The reason for the rest three polls is a very trivial - the text of the Question is too long. If we've got some Polls with a long text in the Question and some compact ones, shorts will win

You may find the following tips helpful. Use a bowl in the sink when washing fruit, vegetables or dishes. You can then use the waste water to water your plants. Fill a jug with water and put it in the fridge for when you want a cool drink. Turn off the tap when you clean your teeth. A running tap uses up to nine litres of water a minute. If possible, take a shower instead of a bath. A five-minute shower uses about 40 litres of water. This is about...

I use it most of the time instead of a computer. I download and read books, do banking, play games, do surveys, take and edit photos, send texts and emails, research products, order products, watch videos, listen to music, read the news, find recipes and craft patterns, learn French and Chinese, book tickets and accommodation and ask questions about anything I want to know. That takes up most of my day! I very rarely use it to ring people.
