I do not keep up with workmates from my one previous job (which I retired from). Only one shift (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM - got two 15-minute breaks and a half-hour for lunch (I worked a total of eight hours on each workday). We did not have one thing in common with each other - we did not socialize with each other on the job, and we did not socialize with each other on weekends (we did not work weekends) or on holidays (we got holidays off - with pay). Only four things I actually liked about my federal civil service job - the pay, job advancement opportunities, I got sick leave and annual (vacation) leave, and I got to wear jeans too work every day. I do not miss my workmates - but I DEFINITELY miss not getting paid every two weeks (on a Tuesday) :-))! I now get paid - on a monthly basis (bummer).

The only mobile phone I've ever owned is when a friend bought me one about 15 years ago as a present. I didn't even bothered to get it activated. I think they still use it especially the turquoise which always at what appears to be the last question (a quality control question) always come up with confirming the points....you were screened out. I dont do these anymore because it happens every time and they get the info & I get nothing. The green surveys normally just screen out straight away or only after a few qualifying questions.

Summer every time for me. I left England because I was severely sick almost every winter with colds, flu, bronchitis and allergies. I then found I could not tolerate Melbourne winters as I was so miserable and sick. After moving to Queensland I was diagnosed with SADS (Seasonal Adjustment Disorder Syndrome) meaning my body cannot cope with changing climate extremes. I also have a lung disease which is now able to be treated and responds so well to warm/hot weather. I can cope, although not happily, with the few weeks of winter we have here.

Apple and rhubarb always goes so well together, plums and apples too but use fresh plums, for savoury eggs with ham or bacon in it add baby spinach leaves for greenery. If you don't have spinach try basil leaves. Sounds good but I am a bit lazy so I would just buy a tart.

beef, onion, mushrooms, paprika, tomato paste, small amount of flour, beef stock and sour cream. No need for processed packets. Cut beef into strips instead of chunks and you don't need to cook so long either. I put on the water for the pasta (I use fettuccine) when I start the strog and by the time the pasta is cooked the strog is ready. 20 minutes tops!

If it's a sunny day and you don't feel like going out that's OK, make sure to open some windows a little for some fresh air and let the sunshine filter in. Play some music, I find it takes my mind off the immediate problem , just aim for upbeat styles. I mix up my favourite drink usually an iced coffee around lunchtime... or a cup of tea always good and calming. If you like to cook make something to treat yourself or you could share with a friend or neighbour? You could concentrate on a quiz show and pat yourself on the back whenever you get one right ! Drink water.. may sound odd but being dehydrated could make you feel worse and be giving you a headache .l just try and do the small things that I can do or feel like doing in such times . I'm finding hard just to take surveys I think I have done over 100 surveys in the last few days and 99% screen you out today I done 20 odd surveys with three of them I got to the point where I thought it was rolling back to award my points for the survey only to find it tells me I was screened out once I completed the survey this has happed 3 times today I had issue with a same type of problem only days ago and contacted them to say I wasn't awarded my points only to be told I need to supply a screen shot to prove what had happened when it is near impossible to screen shot when your under the impression your going back to survey site only to find they say you have been screened out for a few measly point not good enough Rewardia it's a form of robbery

Peak Health authority bodies want govt to start paying $ 500 million per yr targeted at those most in need to begin combating the ongoing problems of the average Aussie not being able to afford basic dentistry above a standard oral exam,xray and scale and clean ( costing between $230-350 avg). Fewer than half the Aus population now see a dentist once per yr. Canadanians 75% and U.S.A 63% Which puts us in dire straits as far as more hospitalisations in the future.... heart conditions ,dental issues too far gone , many issues including comfort eating your food ,jaw pain ,migraines ,mental health/ confidence issues etc ,etc would all be helped or avoided with regular dental care. Now if they can just find a means to train them all to be nice and gentle and get some new methods of numbing other than the goddamn needles ,, and a new style of silent laser drill ? l would be happy!

Yes, I used to roller skate at a rink in Dandenong (no longer there though) when I was growng up. Also took my daughter there before her 9th birthday when I fell awkwardly and ended up in hospital with a spiral fracture to my tibia and fibula...needless to say that was the end of my roller skating days!

No such thing as CD's when I was a child. My father worked for Lee Gordon, if anyone else is old enough to remember him. Lee Gordon was a promoter who brought artists out to Australia and would hand out photo's and 78RPMH records which my father would bring home for me. So I got to hear Jimmy Rogers, The Kaylen Twins and The Everley Brothers to name a few. When I was older I was much in demand as a babysitter and one couple I babysat for had a large collection of records and I got to hear Johnny Matthis, The Platters and other artists from the '50's but by the time I wanted to buy records such as The Beatles, Searchers and Bilyl Thorpe and The Aztecs there were 45's and 331/3 or LP's. I think the first CD I bought was Michael Jackson. I did start replacing my LP's with CD's but when it came time to toss Tommy by The Who and the Beatles white album I couldn't do it and decided to keep them all. Every now and then I'll give one or 2 a spin, some date back to the sixties and I still love them but I also have many of them in CD form as well.
