So much talk about ridding the country of cash will only be helpful to the banks as they wont have to handle or count it. Maybe stop production of small coins but no cash? We need cash for those small items too small to put on a card and how will maths be taught to children. They don't have access to credit cards when small - how can they understand without notes or coins and what about the .99 cents instead of $1... charge. There will be no need so everything will...

I went to the post office today actually to withdraw $650! They couldn't do it, even though they are meant to be the new banks on a mini scale, A supermarket was across the rd ,, l was thinking ok I may split the difference but nope,. Impossible too as their limits are now $200. He only had 400. His words were we need more people we to pay In cash ,we've been getting wiped out all morning,

We recently attended our friends daughters wedding. We travelled 7 hours each way to a beautiful venue, but had to stay 2 nights to break the journey. As we are both retired & money is tight we had to put a lot of thought into the wedding gift. As the couple have been together several years they requested money towards a honeymoon. What do others think would be a reasonable amount to gift? We seem to be out of touch? $100 - $500???
blunder boy
whatever you can afford if anything would be good if I was the happy couple, we got married in the backyard, had a barby, and shorts, and thongs were the dress code of the day, we upgraded to James Boag it was our biggest expense, we did this 1 because of who we are, and 2 to save cash for our honeymoon, as gifts we told people to bring steaks/beer/salads or cheesecakes maybe even a pav in case things went on into the evening which they did,35 years later it was still one of the best days of our life, we had 4 barbecues and 3 fridges, was one hell of a day shared by all,and not a bank buster

Imagine there was a offer of a brand new one bedroom basically furnished house and you could own it for nothing (no cost) as long as you NEVER left the house for 2 years. You must occupy the house ALONE every day for 2 years. . . . . . with no visitors allowed ! Would you do it ? . . . . . . . and what would you need in the house to assist you over those 730 days. ?

I've noticed for a while that men's stick deodorants (all brands: Old Spice, Brut, Nivea, etc.) have been slowly disappearing from supermarket and chemist shelves in New Zealand. After digging around on the internet I've discovered that they are also disappearing in other countries like Australia, with lots of people complaining, and apparently the fools in charge have decided to stop making them, with no announcement nor explanation as to why. I would like to see no one selling their donkeys to the Chinese they are eating their skin because they believe it has magical powers. Well I hope it causes their little things to shrivel up and fall off. They have eaten 2/3rds of their donkey population. How barbaric, I was absolutely disgusted. Plus they have raised the prices of donkeys from $800 to now $2000. I would love a donkey one day if fact I was hoping for a pair so I could breed them. If we did I certainly would not be selling the beautiful animals to any one.

Have you looked at any conspiracies on the Web. Have any conspiracies taken your interest or you have followed up on any. What makes you interested or not, in looking into a conspiracy. Are some worth investigating or are they all too, weird and scary to look at. Are they just a waste of time? Are you skeptical or not? You may have some other reason or reasons!
darsol
the funny thing with conspiracy theories is that years later they are shown to correct, the US government poisoning St Louis to see what would happen, the cia kidnapping people to use them in expiriments, assination of JFK,now they admit there were others involved, even 10 years ago if you mentioned you saw a UFO you were labelled a nutter, now they are admitting they are out there

What do you find more soothing? Heat Bags are obviously quicker to organise when you re in pain or feeling cold. But I ve found hot water bottles keep their warmth longer
BLM
I will admit I am old (not dead - yet - I do have one foot in my grave) - I do not use either (my guess will be heat bags would be safer). If I am feeling cold - I will reset my smart thermostat. If I am in pain - I will scheduled a video chat with a nurse (with my health plan)! Unfortunately, you can't take your money with you when you die - I will spend my money making my last days (or years) enjoyable!

Right now I have had to do 4 surveys just to get up to 35,000 and the scores were for example 280, 114 they are piffy. The surveys at 1900 I rarely get I usually get booted out and get a 40 point compensation - how do we go about complaining to the market research company that the compensation is insulting
Jahn
Some of these surveys seem like "foot in the door" techniques where you think you'll be given one survey and it morphs into four surveys in in one. That's not right.

I have noticed over the last week on the many surveys on how I am voting at this Federal Election a pattern that I believe could be ensuring polls are being fixed. I was a late starter and an early finisher. Thought I'd missed the bus. I read everything I could get my hands on. If you can get over the "morning sickness" everything after that is easy. Try to make sure you get sufficient sleep, the late months if I closed my eyes at work I wanted to go to sleep. After that first acceptance that you are Really pregnant it seems easy but do look after your health and try not get over stressed as you can't help all those hormones flooding through you. Hopefully your partner accepts that you also become very emotional at times, no you don't have that to yourself, we all did it. That first tiny butterfly movement that later becomes like a full football game by the last few months. God Bless and keep well.

Just had a package from Amazon that was supposedly delivered but never showed up on our doorstep -- I was watching for it. They showed a picture of a package with only cement surrounding it -- it could have been taken anywhere! Our doorstep however has a big mat that covers the whole step so it was not our porch step. I also requested that it be delivered to our back door but it said it was delivered to our front step or near it. Amazon was great and reimbursed...
Tom S Qld
I had a different experience about 5 weeks ago, not Amazon, but worth telling. I was in my backyard at 5pm, doing some gardening when I heard a delivery truck. I checked down the side of the house to the front, and saw it was a Coles home delivery truck. I thought it was for the neighbors across the street, so I ignored it. About 10 minutes later I went to the front of the house. On my front steps were 15 bags of groceries and a carton of ginger beer - not mine (I don't do home delivery). I looked for a receipt or paperwork - nothing. I rang Coles local, and they put me through to their distribution center in Sydney, where they put me on hold for 15 minutes. I explained what happened, they put me on hold again. When they finally came back, they asked me if I wanted to keep the groceries or did my neighbors want some of it. Could I take it inside and refrigerate what needed to be and keep the rest. The driver can't get back to my street that night and once I take it inside, they cannot then ask for it back due to security issues, Coles would then send out a new order to the original shopper. I said thanks, took some things to my neighbor and kept the rest. We estimated that it was a full family shop ($350). I spoke to the phone operator and asked questions. If it happens again, just take everything inside. Once it's in your house, it's yours, they won't knock on the door and ask for it.
Ka-ching! Merry Christmas!

I love spicy food but, with my budget, I'll have to stick with my 4 ingredient tuna and noodles; 1 pkg 8 oz flat noodles, 1 can of tuna, 1 can cream of mushroom soup, and cheese. (the original recipe calls for sliced Velveeta, but it costs too much now!). Cook noodles, drain, add tuna, soup and cheese, heat to melt the cheese and enjoy with potato chips and dill pickles! I grew up on this at the neighbor's house! ;-D

This is quite an easy dish to compile. If you have a smoker, this is simple. If not use a barbecue with a lid (a weber is good) light it up without using kerosene or fire starters. If you do not have a barbecue, wait until the neighbour goes out and use their barbecue. Toss some charcoal on to flame, when the flame has died the charcoal will still be hot. Place wood chips (I use coconut husks) on top of charcoal so that it smokes. Place a baking tray of water on to the...

I finally made it to the leader board this week. You need to get those bonus points by having the least number of jewels at the end of the round. You have to work out the patterns, ie: 1st round they only go down, 2nd round they only go up....Once you do this you can target which groups to click on. And when you have single jewels it's best to match those first instead of 'already grouped' jewels\ud83d\ude0a.

Is there a Minister of Seniors?? There should be..its incredibly unfair how this happens. Here in NZ we got an increase of an offensive $20 a week for beneficiaries- after many many years of no increase- the list of essentials including food petrol power health etc etc etc has risen exponentially over the years- and the $20 increase would be laughable if it wasn't so difficult.

APB
nearly all the micro plastics that your household produces appear to be from your washing machine...man made fibres are the biggest offenders...and the crap they put in your washing powders/liquids (it is probably in your shower gel, soaps and toothpaste too)...NOW...there is an attachment that you can add to your machine...it costs $350...that can remove all this at the source....but YOU have to buy it yourself...and down the food chain the local water purifier CAN remove ALL the microplastics from your waste water too...but that costs lots of money ..and nobody wants to pay for that either......we would rather drink water and eat fish full of plastic it seems..

That sounds pretty typical of the surveys on here...if you tell them what they want to hear you will make it through and get points, if you tell the truth they don't want to know. Just goes to show you can't rely on getting honest feedback when they give you any survey results. Rely on your own instincts to get the truth.

I have a very unprofitable business - online medical transcriptionist. Basically it is only what I would call a hobby, but I do not have to rent premises and there are no overheads. Basically I just wake up in the morning and sit at my computer and start typing. I do not even use any paper, just send the transcripts back via the server. This time around with the lockdowns things do not seem quite as bad. The last time some of my kids were out of work for quite a while and had to use up their holiday leave. This time they are all still working.
