I am just loving the Trivia questions about fruit, in particular, and also the flowers. There are so many exotic fruits out there that I have never heard of, let alone tasted. I now have a Java Blue banana in my backyard (said to resemble vanilla ice cream and the skins to have a bluish tinge). Pretty impressed with the Thai apple that I came across today. I am able to purchase that online in Australia. So ...... What is your favourite and what fruit do you grow in...

My Grandparents took me to Florida for my first trip on a airplane. It was the best time that I had. We went to Disney and most of the parks down in Florida. I went again 4 years later with friends but the first time was better.

I had a few great ones when I was younger but I really loved travelling to Fiji in my early 30's with a girlfriend and my then 7yr old. Buffet breeakfasts everyday ,beach or pool then what to do bar or lunch shack ? Drinks and dancing at night ( Fijians adore kids ) so the resort was fully set up if you needed a caretaker or kids club in the day keeps then amused while u shop or sleep. . A long time ago now I think about it ,,,!!

We have a name picked for our son arriving in 12 more weeks. One of the things we learned is most with that name people call them Jimmy. We don't want that. We learned the James is derived from Jacob in Hebrew. Do you think if we picked the Hebrew version Jacob ?? it would help him to be called by his name? His actual name would be Jacob Quinton Ford? Thoughts on our dilemma. They names both mean the same thing. It's mainly James is the...

I like Jacob but not Jimmy. You say that you do not mind Jake as that is what he most probably will be called. In Australia we seem to shorten children's names.

My daughter has lost a lot of money on airline tickets because of COVID shutdowns. I think airlines should refund the purchase price of tickets if you cannot fly because of shutdowns. What do you think?

I think that is fair that airlines should refund airline tickets to passengers if they cannot fly because of sudden cancelations or shutdowns.

Has anyone else noticed that the points for activities like Trivia, Picture Quiz etc are not all the same for everyone. I get 1 point for the correct answer to a trivia question and someone else gets 5 points and the next time I get 4 and someone else gets 1. How does the points system work? Shouldn't we all get the same for a correct answer, what do you think?
APB
Debbie it is based on Games and outright addictions...as soon as you start playing any game obsessively...or start to show an amazing ability...all the points just disappear...try playing the games really badly...or go out and take your dog for a walk in the middle of one...this usually helps with the end score....

Agree with you there, especially after you've done a goodly part of one before it's decided that you don't qualify. There are about 3 million carers in Australia either full time or part time looking after family members etc. a higher number of women and also a high number of younger Australians. There is no superannuation paid for them For some there may be an inheritance but this is not always the case. A woman who has a baby gets...

Hmm.
I think too much is given to mums and single mums.
Because they have women advocacy groups that can influence the dumb politicians in power.
Yes, home carers do deserve more.
It's not compulsory to work unless you don't have a partner to support you.
So not necessarily for women to go to work if their kids are too young to yet go to school, instead of daycare.
If they wanna work then they should wait until their kids are in primary school, and have someone help them after school hours for their kids.
Too much money is being spent on child care.
My parents never had access when I was a kid.
Women's groups are behind this shit.
Too much family benefits as well, even if they work.
Many of these families are hardly paying much income tax, when you factor in their holidays, sickness days off, public holidays, family benefits, subsided children care, health care.
No wonder Aus is going broke!
Never had much help in my parents day.
Didn't have much in the way of most of these options.

I should probably be able to figure this out myself, but I don't trust my math skills! So can someone tell me what the points here equal in real money? Like for instance, how much money is 1000 points equal to? example: I like to redeem for Amazon cards, but that's the same as cash for me since I know I'll always be buying something on Amazon. So if 30,000 points gets me a $15 Amazon card, what's 1000 points equal to?
Tom S Qld
If 30,000 pts = $15 Amazon card
30,000 / 15 = 2,000pts per $1.Not sure if that's good value.When I redeem 50,000 pts = $50 into my bank account
50,000 / 50 = 1,000pts per $1.
Best to do your math's to make sure that you get value for effort.

"'A-HOLE'"ANDREWS SHOULD BE CAREFUL ABOUT LOCKDOWNS HERE WHEN THE NEXT ELECTION COMES, HE DOES NOT GIVE A RATS YOU KNOW WHAT TO REGIONAL VIC.
Edward S 497347
I like Daniel Andrews up to a point because he is getting on with building the infrastructure which is long overdue and avoided by many Premiers before him.
We must also keep in mind that during the severe bushfires across Australia in the Summer of 2019/20 Daniel Andrews has worked 7 days a week; then just as they were coming to an end Australia was starting to feel the effects of the covid-19 global pandemic within Australia, resulting in Daniel Andrews continuing to work 7 days a week until he hurt his back and ribs....BUT HEY DANIEL ANDREWS..We all know you are one step away from building a prison wall around Victoria, employing prison guards to keep us within the confines of your prison and place us all on prison wages...I support Daniel Andrews in regards to the infrastructure, but I DRAW A LINE at putting Victorians into a prison, causing many people to lose their jobs, causing many small business owners to permanently shut their doors. These small businesses are Australia's largest employers and without them, the unemployment figures will rise for a long time. This is a virus that CANNOT be contained and controlled and steps MUST be taken by ALL World leaders to eradicate ( kill ) the Covid-19 virus before it becomes immune to disinfectant and hand sanitisers; because once it reaches that point it will gradually kill the world's population and the human race will become extinct .YES the various vaccines WILL protect us from the virus, but not 100% and there are many fully vaccinated people who are still becoming infected and spreading the virus. Therefore ACT NOW to eradicate the Covid-19 virus NOT just continuously attempting to contain and control. All attempts so far, ALL over the world have failed and PROVES this virus CANNOT be contained or controlled and will just keep on giving, spreading, mutating, and growing stronger.
The Covid-19 global pandemic is very difficult for any government because their only choices are:-
1) Place the country or state into ongoing lockdowns to minimise the spread of the virus thus affecting businesses, people's incomes, and freedoms, the economy, and the debts of the states or country.
OR:-
2) Protect the businesses and jobs by NOT going into lockdowns, thus enabling the Covid-19 virus to spread rapidly across the country, overwhelming the health system, leading to thousands if not millions of deaths

I am generally finding this survey topic more & more frustrating, each one you attempt the advice is "you've qualified for this survey" only to start the survey to find you apparently "don't qualify". For goodness sake, Rewardia know more about me that my lovely Wife of over 55 years, yet they seem to have sub standard or ineffective vetting on their AI that keeps sucking me into these "qualified" surveys, only to erode my slowly diminishing future life expectancy !!!!

The Government subsidised the installation of Solar Panels. Even with the subsidy many paid thousands of dollars to install the panels. The initial 66c pkw paid by the power company to buy the power from what our panels were supplying to the grid. I add here, surplus power (from the grid) is on sold by the power company. Now it seems after so many having invested in Solar Panels the usage costs have increased and the buy back (to grid) amounts can be 8.5...

It is often used to indicate, "to kill a large number of something, or to reduce something severely eg populations of endangered animals have been decimated". All the members of the commonwealth and those that support it could provide stability in a world of conflicting groups.
YOU now have a voice to the Australian Federal government. Far too many Australian pensioners are struggling financially, many going without medications, heating in winter, cooling in Summer, NOT eating properly, struggling to pay massive rents, and much more. Every citizen has always had a voice in parliament! I have had (like EVERY Aussie) my whole life! But what are you suggesting to the government on my behalf? That society needs to re-value familial piety? That people should be educated to plan better for retirement? Or, neither of those, and all working members of society should pay a greater percentage of tax to help keep the oldies happy? I can't see any other choice.
And though ageist to suggest all pensioners struggle (because I don't...) it surely has been the responsibility of the individual, over their lifetime, to ensure they have accumulated adequate funds to support their retirement? Sorry... I have little sympathy for people who have never bothered to learn how to manage finances. Especially when they've had 40+ years to do it.

Does anyone have a Jitterbug cellphone and have issues with it. I bought one for my Mom who is 90 and blind. It was to have a speed dial and able to call through Alexa. Took me almost an hour and half with customer service to get it set up. Next day when I went to show Mom how to use it it said it wasn't set up. Once again called customer support. They said they are doing an update and it could be Dec before those features work again. Anyone else having...

I would want my money back if its was going to take a month before the features you needed were actually available- if there was a better option of course! Good luck :)

Just COMPLETED a RED survey on health which was supposed to pay 750 points but was only paid 50 points.... Why does this not surprise me.
APB
I've just cleared away all the red surveys...all the blue surveys....all the purple surveys...one turquoise..and all the pink ones bar one.....total reward?.....200 points

I get emails telling me that a particular survey has x number of stars (as well as points of course). The stars are also shown on the survey index. I have never been able to figure out what the stars mean and maybe someone can fill me in.
APB
When you do a survey...they ask you to rate it with stars...but to register your ratings, you HAVE to write a review as well...and life is too short for that....I am supposing that the Star rating is some sort of average response from the people who sat there and patiently wrote a review

Are you tired of hearing about Covid 19 and how much do you think the media exaggerates and resorts to hysteria? Don't we need calm heads and hope?
APB
We need a lot of calm sensible heads...people in charge who are capable of empathy, understanding and the basic decency to apologise for their arrogance.. slow responses and at time massive failings...and any media organisation that actively spreads lies as truth...or stirs the population up based on unsupported and totally unchecked information....should be heavily fined on the first offense...and eventually be shut down and the owners face criminal charges.....
don't hold your breath for any of that...

With all of the horrors going on around this world we need to STOP and think about ourselves for a while, to get our minds off those things; therefore here are a few things for you to think about:- 1) IF you could be anyone in the world, who would you be and why? 2) IF you could have anything in the world with no limits, what would it be and why? 3) IF you could have any type of life you wanted, what would it be and why? 4) IF...

FIRSTLY ENERGY PRICES IN AUSTRALIA In 2018/19 my average NONwinter gas bill was $50 to $80 and Winter gas bills were $150 to $180 ( this is for 2 months). Over the past 12 months, all of my GAS bills have massively increased. My last gas bill 2 months ago was nearly $400 for 2 months and just got my latest gas bill ( for a ONE MONTH period) which is nearly $300......These are an...
Job vacancies are listed on behalf of the Premiers of Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, and South Australia. Due to current Covid-19 restrictions and lockdowns, we have turned most of Australia into a prison, with separate prisons in each of our states. We, therefore, have 10,000 job vacancies for "PRISON GUARDS" to keep our civilian prisoners within the confines of their states and homes......We may even feed our prisoners...

Everytime you attampt to do a survey they ask a wide range of qualifying questions then are often told you do not qualify and receive little or no payment for your time consumed. Some of these qualifying questions can be as long as some surveys. Most survey qualifying questions are basically the same over and over. Who agrees that every survey website should have a database containing all of that information about you and then ONLY give you the surveys which you DO...
APB
I never answer the qualifying questions anymore...it is all a scam...just answer none to all of them.....you will find it does not affect the number of surveys you get at all.......ratbags.....Grrrrrr

I knew this would happen. Just said yesterday to someone I bet we have Lockdown before the month is out. 3 lockdowns so far this year.
Edward S 497347
This is nothing
Wait until Victoria reaches LockDown numbers 50 and 100 because it WILL happen as a result of the virus escaping hotel quarantines, transferring from state to state, infected people returning from overseas or becoming infected in quarantine, many people refusing to get vaccinated, many people not obeying lockdown laws and the list of reasons go on and on.
Add to that, the slow roll out of the vaccines.
Also add to that, all over the world, many people whom have been FULLY vaccinated ARE still being infected.
We will probably still be going in and out of lockdowns in 10 years from now

50 POINT - non qualifying for red surveys is insulting and inflammatory now my suggestion to Rewardia is that that they need to have a talk with the tooth fairy about their procedures regarding this and the market research company perhaps should talk to the ocean - as both these people don't talk back. Rewardia need to have a bloody good look at themselves because their points systems need over hauling badly
Edward S 497347
50 POINTS = 5 cents
Many of the RED surveys DO NOT even give you 50 points now when you do not qualify.
Many of the other colors award NOTHING either.
When you complain to Rewardia and on rare occasions when they say they have given you so many points compensation...You do NOT even get those compensation points.
In Australia MINIMUM wage is now $20-33 Rewardia gives you an average of NOTHING to $2 per hour for your time consumed.

Gift of Love: Say I love you to all our love ones Gift of Service: Clean the house or outdoor like cut trees, weed garden, etc Gift of Giving: if have extra then gift some of it like clothes, shoes and so on. Gift of Forgiveness: if someone do bad to us we can forgive them and have a free spirit. Gift of Repentance: If I do bad then stop doing it and let those whose affected know that we'll do good from now on.

Why is so important for families to be together in the festive season, christmas and new year
Whats everyones thoughts of Christmas ideas tree real or fake or plain old don't do anything looking for different views with what to do or do a mixture

just give them a dollar each.

Due to Covid do you now have to make some hard choices for the family Christmas get-together? Our family in Melbourne will "hopefully" be able to have 20 people at home to celebrate - BUT the immediate family numbers 28! How would you choose who is to come and who cannot be invited!
Why do so many places not have displays of the true meaning of christmas. only decorations
John Smith Very-Old
Because it's all about money, not Christmas. How did Christmas become commercialized, I don't know (((

I believe puppy farms should be banned - we have a little rescue groodle (golden retriever x poodle) who has Base Narrow Canines - a relatively common occurence in poodles, and hence should not be cross bred with any other breed. This little pup was thrown out of a Puppy Farm, as unsuitable for breeding...lucky her ! but now faces dental surgery to correct her 2 lower canines which are growing up through the top jaw. People love these cute little red pups, but...
Zany
They should absolutely be banned! It's later as they grow that puppies develop problems. My sister bought a gorgeous Maltese Shitzu but the little dog can hardly walk now as she developed hip problems through cross-breeding with an unsuitable breed. Just horrible!

Do you really want a gift or are you happy not to get one. Do you like the idea of a charity gift done on your behalf?
Stevi Wonder
It doesn't worry me if I get a present or gift or not for Christmas. I have most things I need. It is nice to give gifts to others & it is a nice surprise if someone gives you a present in return. It is a good feeling.

For many years, having a college degree has been considered the key to success and a stable career. Society often links education with intelligence, status, and financial security. However, today we see many successful people who achieved their goals through skills, experience, or entrepreneurship rather than formal degrees. With the rise of online learning, freelancing, and skill-based jobs, the importance of traditional degrees is being questioned. At the same time, degrees...

The book of Revelation in the bible describes what we in this world will see and experience shortly before Judgement Day. We have now seen and experienced ALL of those signs, except ONE.. That one is where the skies and waters turn blood red. Are we about to enter Judgement Day in the very near future?

The trees is the issue that interests me. The information below, even though correct, I think it is very doubtful that too many trees will live long lives. They will most likely be planted by the developer, but am I correct in thinking that lots of people worry about ongoing problems with large trees in their yards ie plumbing costs roots in sewer lines and falling branches and therefore once the sale is complete the tree will be uprooted. Trees and other plants help cool...

Does anyone else think that First Aid should be compulsory in all high schools? 2 of my children did their first aid course in Victoria then when we moved to NSW my 2 younger children were not able to do it at school. I personally believe that this should be a free course for high school students as many do outside activities such as sport or do part time work. You never know when it will be needed to help another person

I have lost three close loves ones this year and almost everyone I hear from is in the same boat. I'm not just talking older people either. I'm hearing of so many younger, healthy people suddenly dying. It's so very sad. My friend was telling me of the procession of funerals she has been to this year and the last one was over two days as the cemetary were too busy to intern his casket on the day of the funeral! Is anyone else here seeing the same kind of thing?
In Australia rents are extremely high and interest rates have been low for 9 years now interest rates are rapidly increasing each month resulting in rental property owners massively increasing rents further. I recently heard on the news that in Queensland people who were paying $600 a week rent are now paying just under $ 1200 a week rent due to recent interest rate increases. Rents have always included mortgage interest rates, council rates, and insurance, and...
