I really like Christmas carols,suppose it's because we had a family tradition of going to midnight mass. As a small child I remember the choir and our beautiful lead light church filled with glowing candles.

I quite like that one as well plus Silent Night, White Christmas. Think a good party trick would be to sing Happy Birthday for indeed it is someone's Birthday we are celebrating and try not setting the place on fire with the enormous amount of candles!!!

Love hearing them sung. Can't sing now but used to go out in a group from my church and sang our heads off just for the fun of singing with friends. They may be hackneyed but we sang very seriously when we were young and still remember the words for the most famous ones.

I have a lot of them: Bell Carol, I Wonder as I Wander, Mary Did You Know, Lo How a Rose. Those are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head. I played in a chamber orchestra for 22 years and we had a yearly Christmas concert, so I know a lot of songs.

  I learned it in 6th grade orchestra, and it instantly was my favorite then because it was easy to play on the violin and is sounds good. Now I teach it to students and enjoy telling them the history of the song. One of the music teachers I worked with went on vacation one December and took a picture of the statue and it was great for the kids to see that and have some connection to it.
