My opinion of what makes a home a home is somewhere I can come home to or be home where I am safe and loved. I can invite who I like into my home and I can provide a safe environment to my family and my beautiful grandchildren and enjoy the company of my partner and companion animals.

Home is my most favourite FOUR letter word. Not that I go out much these days, but can hardly wait to get home and close the front door of my sanctuary and keep the miseries of the world at bay. Well, in an ideal world that would be possible but we need to create some kind of Utopia for the sake of sanity.

A nice topic Angel. To me home is where I have my lovely hubby and daughter (who lives with us) and also another daughter and granddaughter who visit us often. I especially feel at home when I walk in the front door after a long day and am greeted by someone I love. This is so very true if there is food cooking in the slow cooker that has been on all day and the house is full of great smells.

It's where my people, my cats and my much loved things (such as books, gardens I've tended etc) are.

A great big kitchen, slow combustion stove, big deal table with chairs and place which is warm and friendly in the winter, where everyone is welcome and feels safe plus another Electric/gas stove for use during the summer. My family and pets ,I have two boys living with me and two beautiful labrador dogs and a cat they all who make my house a home

My family, our pets, items that have been handed down. I have many photos on walls and shelves of those who have passed so our lads have a visual history of our lineage and can put a face to the stories. I like being surrounded by items that serve a purpose not for show.

Home is my haven when I have peace and quiet and where I feel comfortable. When I was a kid it was my Mum and Dad who made our home. I live 2 ks from the beach and have often just gone and sat and watch the ocean and the whales passing by and I have a park and nature reserve one house up from me so this also adds to the peaceful surrounds broken only by the young boys riding their trail bikes full throttle through the streets and park.
