With so many product and services that we use, everything is expected to be done online these days, it is getting increasingly frustrating every time you need a password reset. The rules regarding passwords are for our protection, but they are also really counterproductive as it makes it near impossible for us to remember said password when things MUST be a minimum of 8 12 characters, MUST contain at least 1 uppercase letter, MUST contain at least 1 number and MUST contain at least one special character. It also cannot be too similar to something you have had before, and no consecutive numbers or x number or letter too close to y number or letter. What do you think? Is too much security driving you mad, too? |
