We recently went to Darwin for a few days. We were paying a lot for the hotel we stayed in. Our bed wasn't made at all, the towels were changed, but the bins weren't emptied.
On the second night there, Hubby ate something that hadn't agreed with him and had a bit of an accident. The sheets weren't changed, and I had to ask for sheets and a mattress protector and change the bed myself. The "clean Mattress protector" I got had blood on the underneath of it. I was disgusted.
When you are paying through the nose for these things, you expect a good service.
I know a lot of places are cutting back as they can't get staff, but this is ridiculous. I stayed at a motel the week before, and it was much cheaper and the service was fantastic. Beds made (even though I pulled up mine) towels changed and the bins emptied.
