IMAGINE NO POSSESSIONS..I wonder if you can?

A wise man said that you start out owning possessions but at some point, those possessions end up owning you....if you had to lose all your personal possessions...and just share everything...what would be the one personal object you would want to keep?

    great song lyric no need for greed or hunger a brotherhood of man imagine,,,,,, as I have gotten older have slowly gotten rid of most of my stuff I have a pair of levis and a quicksilver jacket both hitting the 40 year mark I might struggle letting them go

        Perhaps my wedding ring, or my passport. It would have to be something that identifies me. Probably my passport. It expired once and I found myself stateless. Thats scary.

                                  You have got me reminiscing about my wonderful Grace. She was the proud owner of a fur coat. It was commonly referred to as the community coat. It was loaned to her grandchildren, as well as her children and nieces. It is owned by her a granddaughter presently.

                                                    Knowing me, it would be something sentimental and totally useless to me! If I was being practical, I would keep my laptop or a telephone. Does this mean we are naked? If so, I'd keep my Eeyore Jammies! LOL

                                                    Our house for one thing and my pets, husband and maybe not in that order. It is amazing how much stuff we gather in life. We moved from a 4 bedroom house into a caravan and that took some doing. Some of the things we owned ended up in the roof, well saved on storage for 4 years. Now we are in a little house we are making bigger and it eventually will be a 3 bedroom house. The house was sort of a 1 and a half bedroom, and it looks like a glorified caravan with out wheels. We have taken down some internal walls so it looks weird but will be fabulous once finished. Our master with en suite is in the new section and it's getting there.

                                                            I have my mom's gorgeous set of wedding rings also. She passed in 2001. Her grandchildren have no interest in her or her possessions, and I have no children. So what will become of these precious rings when I'm gone along with other sentimental items things, even photographs don't seem to be wanted by anyone. I'm actually very sad about all of this. They don't even visit or grave or visited her in the hospital or nursing home! My dad either, and they were wonder grandparents and parents! Right now, I am having a serious money shortage, and I'm considering selling her rings. It breaks my heart, but they are only material things, and at least I respect them! Probably I'm the one that deserves the benefit from them because I was the one that always had her back! By two sisters are both deceased, and I'm the only survivor. I don't even know who to put in my will. I'm thinking the ones who are taking care of me who aren't family! I have one nephew who cares, but I rarely see him, and he and his girls have more than they need. They all are or were in the medical profession. I'm stumped! Since I went here, does anyone have advice?

                                                                                                      Yes, I can imagine. Let us imagine there is no concept of possession in the World. You happily prepare yourself a sandwich to enjoy but all of a sudden someone grabs for your hand and says "There must not be any possessions". Thus even a sandwich is someone's possession. So the sandwich owns you. You are right. Also there is no Last Thing. Anything has value in connection and in a pool with other things. So the Concept of Possession needs a lot of Definitions and Limitations.
