Narcissists | ||
Would you recognize a narcissist, if you either live beside them, work with them or actually live with them? I have experienced all the above, however, it took a while to realize what I was dealing with as I'm an easy going person who likes to give people the benefit of a doubt. How would you deal with a narcissist at work or a neighbor? I've added the definition: Narcissism refers to a personality trait characterized by an excessive focus on oneself, a need for admiration, and a lack of empathy for others. It can manifest in various ways, including a sense of entitlement, a preoccupation with success and power, and superficial relationships. Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) is a formal mental health diagnosis that affects more males than females and often begins in adolescence or early adulthood. Common traits of narcissists include an inability to maintain deep relationships and a tendency to view others as tools for their own gain. | ||
