Discussion of the Day
Is the working from home era over?
Natalia J 521321Feb 20, 25
The remote work era is not ending, but rather evolving. Companies are experimenting with hybrid models to balance productivity, innovation, and flexibility. What would you say? Is the work from home era ending?

I know some of my neighbors are still working from home, and a few go in the office for a day or two a week, and the rest of the week workinga at home.

For some workers its evolving for them but obviously not for the manual labourers.

For those who are productive, it's good but blue collar workers impossible.

blue collar, work with your hands, white collar - minimal hands, make the seat of your pants shiny, work in an office.

For some it is good and others not so. If you are not motivated or are lazy and do not do your work it is bad. I think the interaction of people is necessary anyway. If a work place is toxic of course, working from home could be a better idea. In other words, depends on the job, the person and the productivity.

I think working from home will probably continue except for the people who are proving not to get their tasks finished on time. They may be made to work in the office with supervision.

My experience is that people get lazy and do not perform as well when home alone. There is also no camaraderie or networking, or just get off your chair and ask for guidance or give advice. God made us human and humans should conduct themselves face-to-face. We are not robots. this is how AI will take over and we will be bots. Also over the computer meets, do not capture all the important info.

NO (to your question)! Just evolving (but not in a linear progressive arc)!

Though it's not for everybody (and with some careers it's not possible) I think enough people like the freedom and independence and would choose it over an office setting, where you have to deal with people you'd rather not.
