I am hoping to see more business starting up so more products, giving more choice and the economy can grow again. It is a false hope with war not ending and the threat of more war on the way.

We are looking forward into moving into the new section of our renovated house. Kitchen is in and we have power, just need the plumber to plumb the water and flooring then we will move from one side of the house to the other. Been a huge job and we will still be going until it is all done. Soon if all goes well. Fingers crossed. I hoping that I get help from other family members in looking after my parents so I can go on a holiday for a few days. Won't happen but I can still wish and hope for it.

  There are places you can go to get help with that. Blue Care, Home Help try looking into it and it may cost a little more for your holiday but it also gives you peace of mind that your parents will be looked after. Good Luck and I hope it works out because we all need a break from time to time.

  I agree with Jenny. I was in your position many years ago. I found a respite home in my area that catered to the level of care that was necessary. My grandparents pension covered most of the cost of the stay,I paid a little more on top. Do some research into different facility's not all offer the same level of care and differing g envoirnments. If you are a carer or on a pension in Oz you may be eligible to get a no interest loan to help pay for care or alternative elyspeak to places like Salvo's,Red Cross or if you have one your local community advice center. They may be able to give you some assistance. Good luck and remember you need time for you too.

  I was just saying that is what Asesh could try instead of relying on family that don't help with aging parents. My parents are quite well and yes they maybe in their mid 80's and may need some assistance one day but not yet.

Is there really anything to get excited about? The killings, the murders sanctioned by Governments around the world will continue unabated in part because it is these Gobvernments which are manufacturing all the Weapons and Equipment for War and their manufacture plays a huge role in the Economies of countries such as the Australia, the UK, the US, France, Russia, China, North Korea, Italy, Canada and others. During 2023 alone we are told that, collectively, millions of innocent men, women and children have been murdered at the behest of the politicians - Terrorists? They are just politicians by another name. Climate Change all that ever happens is that our politicians, leaders love to get together for nice little Taxpayer Funded conferences which acheive nothing. We are told millions are starving to death because of famine. Do any of us really believe that things will get any better in 2024? Not if the politicians have anything to do with it.

This year I'm hoping will be better than last year were we lost a lot of people my mother was one of them just hope this year is better all round and that interest rates go down and cost of living also that would be a lot better for a lot of people who are struggling at the moment just hope its better all round

How would one know when 2024 isn't here quite yet? Give it another day or two. One can have hopes and dreams and wanting things to go your way, but some things are not always in your control. One just had to wait and see. This has been a bad year for many and the world. 2024 should be quite interesting to see what happens. Might be better, might be worse. World war 3 might even happen. Who really knows?
