Grandparent Daycare

Grandparent Daycare - This title has been said to me many times, I've 10 grandchildren and all their parents work full-time, note: the grandchildren are spread between 3 states, so travel is always involved.
The benefits for me:
Travel
Quality time with grandkids
Developing a real relationship with them.
Parents happy and secure in the knowledge that their kids are well taken care of.
I don't get paid for this, any costs are covered by the parents and I certainly don't refer to it as 'Grandparent Daycare'..... I call it 'Family'
Yes, I'm lucky the kids cover the costs, but there are a lot of parents out there that can't. When you look at the benefits to the child, would it be too much to ask for the government to provide some sort of stipend to the grandparents for this service and not take it out of their pension.
What do you think? Is there a case for Government to support 'Grandparent Daycare'
