I carry photo and wee scarf of my mum- who has passed away. I keep her close for strength and hopefully protection. I have small momento's or wee cards or notes that i have around me, and photos.

At least, David C, you treat it all as just a bit of Fun and that is what all these Superstitions should be: Fun, Fun, Fun! There are, of course serious parts to some of this Fun! For example if people simply follow the basic teachings (surprisingly they are all much the same!) of Judaism, Christianity, Islam and the non-religion Buddhism all of which are serious, practical and discarded all the other nonsense the world would be a Safer, Happier place! But, No, it all has to be intellectualised, torn apart and put back together to suit the Control Freaks! Every one of the so-called Western religions - don't they call them either Mosaic or Abrahamic? - has stolen from Buddhism, from the so-called "Pagans" (who has the Right to claim those ancient beliefs were wrong?) Lucky Charms are no different other than that those who use them keep it all in perspective. have I got one? you better believe it!

I heard that in Asia, if a bird poos on your head it is lucky.. So I figured that if birds were lucky then having a bear poo on your head would be super lucky. Next time the koala came around I went and stood under the tree watching him, but I think he must have been constipated, so I gave up in the end and decided to continue being my old unlucky self for a bit longer..Edited 20-Jan-22 15:40pm

  A magician once told me to seek out a four leaved clover so I did and it did bring me luck, my family was chosen by Australia from amongst the many in the reffo camp.

YES, if you ACCIDENTALLY put some clothing on inside out or backwards it's very lucky, you might even WIN something, so do not correct it even if you have to go out or your luck will definitely change. If you leave the house and you need to go back because you've forgotten something, it's called you owed a trip to devil, so hopefully by going back you're debt is paid in full!! If you accidently hit you elbow it could be several things, you'll have and unexpected visitor, your mother inlaw is cursing you or wishing the dog on you! If you have an itchy sole (yes you foot sole) you'll go dancing. If you see a chimney sweep it means good luck, haven't seen any lately so that explains my luck today. On the other hand it's bad luck to see a nun, still see them around now and then so that's another explanation for my luck. I'm sure there's lots more from my childhood education that will surface later.

  I am a firm believer in not changing the clothing lol. Never change bed sheets on a Friday, it's bad luck, I have encountered this in my lifetime, and never have changed my sheets on a Friday again! I have a book that reads, itchy right foot, journey with profit, left foot, journey which brings a kiss, Here are a few more.....Itch on top of head, promotion, Right cheek, someone is slandering you, left, someone is complimenting you. The right eye, you meet an old friend, left eye disappointment awaits. Inside nose, problems, grief. outside nose, meet with a fool, or kissed cursed. Lips, someone insults you behind your back. Back of neck, a relative will fall ill. Right shoulder, legacy. Left, Sorrow. right elbow, good news, left, bad. right hand receiving, left hand leaving. Back, disappointment. Stomach, invitation. Loins, reconciliation. Thighs, A move. Right knee, happy voyage, left, voyage beset with difficulty. Sins, An unpleasant surprise. Ankles, marriage or a raise......... sooooooooo many more
