Discussion of the Day
What person/ people in your life brings you the most joy?
Tiffany 1393218Dec 09, 23
I would have to say my four kids. Because they are my life. If I'm down and out, all I have to do is look at their precious faces and all my worries goes away. They keep me on my toes. There's never a dull moment with them. They give my life meaning, and they spell out joy for me.

My friend back in the IK. We first met at school when we were both 4 and I still keep in touch 73 years later

My spouse, my son, daughter in law, grandson. I have to add my faithful friends in my school group (there are four especially) who have rallied behind me to support me through my healing journey from injuries sustained from an accident.

No one. I have 2 grown up children that I hardly ever hear from. My mum was my joy and she has been gone 14 years.

At this stage in my life (age 74) I find people annoy me and although I have acquaintances I tend to limit my interactions. My best friend was my sister who I lost 4 years ago and we used to talk and laugh daily even though we lived 2000 miles apart. I lost a lot of joy in my life when she departed this earth. However, I have a little fur baby that gives me heaps of joy albeit she is in a health crisis at the moment and I am hoping the upcoming surgery and medication will keep her with me for a few more years and her quality of life is good.

I can relate as I have no family left. My best friend was my husband who passed 13 years ago…(seems more recent). Making friend in your 60s and 70s is very difficult.

Never have kids (don't like kids) or a pet (not a pet lover), and I am divorce (not a people person). In my situation, JOY IN LIFE is internally generated by me - often (retired with a livable income)!
