I love Robo pets especially the dogs. Sit roll bark don't bark sleep walk chase the real cat and the don't take a dump or have a piss on your floor or on the grass outside and then you mow thru it cause you haven't seen it. Omg the whiff of pulverised dog turd woof woof. Just plug him in and he's good to go or he could be a she or he could be an it. Gender neutral ofcourse.

Absolutely NO WAY FOR ME. There is already too much that is false in this world. No way would any robot give me the love I got from our gorgeous dog.

I would be worried what effect a robotic animal would have on our children. They already been exposed to computerised people, solders, monsters and other things. I believe the impact having a robotic animal like a dog would have a severe impact on the children's emotional wellbeing. Never to learn to take responsibility or experiencing feeling’s the companionship and love wouldn’t that be completely irresponsible to expose our children to a emotional and cold environment.

I have had pets all our Marriage life, but we moved in to a relocatable home village and my husband will not have anything in the house. so it looks like I have to be the pet for the rest of my life. but I have my Husband to look after so its keeps me not missing in the house.

A robotic pet wouldn’t give love/companionship back as a real animal does. I definitely wouldn’t have a personal pet turned into a “cyborg”. How cruel and frankly bizarre. To me it’s be like a toy although the robotic seals look cute.

I certainly wouldn't like an old pet made into a cyborg-pet but it would be nice to have a robot dog to teach children how to handle and play with a dog as sometimes they can be very rough and the dog not realising that it is a child playing with them that they can lash out and bite them. i would kie to have a robot dog as I am tired of picking up the poop working out new toys and food and nibbles the expense of vet bills and then the sadness when losing a pet after having them around for 15 or more years. Sometimes a dog should been seen and not heard so to have a robot dog just wagging its tail and wandering around the house of the garden would be nice. No responsibility of paying extra if renting a property to make sure the dog or cat doesn't scratch the doors or dig monsterous holes in the garden and no barking at the postman or people walking passed minding their own business. Yes I would enjoy having a robot pet.

If they kept burglars away by barking etc as an alarm, like a robotic dog, I think it's a great idea. No need to clean up it's poos and no need to feed it or walk it.

My daughter when she was little had a cat and it could purr and arch its back when it was patted. It stuffed up after awhile but we always had the real deal too so they got to learn about death. Sad but it is a lesson that needs to be learnt from an early age. What is born then dies eventually.

It may be cheaper than having a real pet but I'd never trade any of my pets, both past and present, for a robotic one. Robotic pets can't give you that love, affection and companionship that a real pet can.

How sad that anyone would want such a toy, for toy is all they are, as a pet - even if very clever. What's next? that they will be able to talk to you? Hasn't Medical Science progressed to the extent that allergies can be treated, and no, I do not mean with Medication? I am sure I have read about it somewhere.
