I think human nature will always get in the way generally judging from history - the same themes always seem to repeat. There are a few genuine people out there who care and want to make this world a better place though so it depends who overpowers who. At the same time we are all capable of doing good and we are all capable of doing bad. I don't know a single person who hasn't (at least once in their life from childhood to adulthood) experienced hate, jealousy, pride, greed etc. It all depends how we act on our thoughts that matters and what we care most about.

Sad to say, it's never happened throughout history (look how many societies had no problem with slavery) and I doubt it ever will. As many people that take the right attitude, there are a lot that take the wrong one. I've always felt that different religions, races, cultures, etc. are a good thing, giving variety and interest to life (which is why I always preferred cities to suburbs) but without acceptance and respect it does more harm than good. All men are created equal. Nobody is better or worse than the person beside them in the nursery. It's our upbringing, situations we're born into, decisions we make, that make us different.

This will never come about as people have egos. I respect peoples views, beliefs, gender, etc. but these days the way people are so arrogant, vile, disrespectful, hateful etc. it is hard not to have an opinion in the negative. I do get into debates and the other person will become angry and disrespectful so I just say OK we shall leave it there. You have your opinion and I have mine. Mostly, this stops the person. It is also unfortunate these days that minorities are getting their way over and above the majority which is wrong also. There can be an in-between answer but the minorities don't want that so the government and local councils etc. just go with the minorities wants. This has to stop as it is bringing about too much resentment and division which is opposite to what is needed. Social media is another area which needs to look at itself. Keyboard warriors have no respect for anything or anyone. I believe in free speech of course but I do not think this means people can say whatever they want including blatant lies and think it comes under the heading of free speech.
