Discussion of the Day
Public pool and beach attire
Natalia J 521321Jul 15, 24
When you go to the beach, all you truly need is a bathing suit... what about the amount of skin we show? Are g-strings inappropriate in public spaces?
Comments - Page 2
  • Not appropriate where there are children. Wear it in you own home.
    ·
    • Why wear a g-string, just go to a nudist beach.
      ·
      • I honestly could care less about what others wear.
        ·
        • Yes
          ·
          • why not
            ·
            • I think you need to be respectful, tHere are kids at the beach & to show lots & lots of flesh it not appropriate. G-strings are more common now, to wear it to the beach as part of you swim wear is ok
              ·
              • If you don't like it, don't look at it
                ·
                • Then don't get in people's faces.
                  ·
              • How many times do I need to say that minding your own business leads to long, happy and productive life? Okay, let me say it again: mind your own business (Thessalonians, The Holy Bible). If the Scripture states so, then you should truly do not put your nose where it does not belong. If you don't like how people dress, perhaps move to the country where people dress more conservatively, modestly or just don't go to the beach. Period. Enough.
                ·
                • Maybe you have not considered that it is other people's business. Get real!
                  ·
                • And here you are, not minding your own business...but that's the standard hypocrisy of most cult followers...
                  ·
              • I can't say as I find them attractive.
                ·
                • Nothing worse than old wrinkled skin on leather tanned bodies, when they are older. You see some who are 40 or 50, looking like they have the skin of 70+ year Olds. Just as well most are reasonably well covered up at that age. Sun damage is an ugly sight esp as someone ages. So if they are 20+ and live at the beach tanning, they will look very ugly by the time they reach middle age. I bet even the doctors are shocked at seeing such ugly sights.
                  ·
                  • Do they have G-String bathing suits for men........asking on behalf of a friend

                    • Lol. GAY MEN or ALTERNATIVE GENDER PROBABLY. 😝
                      ·
                    • YES - and you can buy G-String bathing suits for males at ANY bathing suit shop/store that sales only bathing suits!
                      ·

Thanks, I'll let her know 😁
                      ·
                    • Also, you can buy G-string bathing suits for men at Amazon.com.
                      ·
                  • I personally do not like them. I don't like them worn into shopping centres or around where I live which is 2ks from the beach. However, on the beach is OK but really one has to have a fabulous figure to wear them. I think a lovely one piece bathing suit can be the most attractive and also sometimes a 2 piece - again dependent on your figure and age. In the end I guess whatever you are comfortable with on the beach is fine - it is up to you.
                    ·
                    • Should be banned then. Do not know why some councils allow it? Soon they will allow total nudity in the streets and cities.
                      ·
                  • I think some women secretly like perverts looking at their body's. Why else would they do it?
                    ·
                    • Whatever floats your ego boat.
                      ·
                      • Don't know.. Don't care! The only question I have is How comfortable are g-strings? I've never worn one. I have the impression that they are like wearing tooth floss.
                        ·
                        • You are exposing a lot of skin that isn't normally exposed to the sun risking more sunburn and skin cancers. If the elastic fails in a g-string you wouldn't have a chance to stop it falling off completely.
                          ·
                          • well yes...go to a nudist beach..sometimes it can scare pets and young children....depending on the size of the person, you may even need therapy afterwards yourself....
                            ·

                          • Just imagine the skin issues they will have in later years. Skin cancer treatments will increase and the parts where they will be, ouch - painful. Common sense says cover up - everyone - to protect yourself.

                            • Blacks do not get skin cancer due to the amount of melanin in our skin - I am Black - nobody in my family has ever got skin cancer!

melanoma and skin cancers happen in all skin colours but are usually found late in darker skin. I live in Australia where the sun is very harsh. Check it out online. Anyone can develop skin cancers. Its great that you and your family have never had any skin issues or melanoma and I hope that you all stay that way. 🙂

My family was brought to USA as slaves, and nobody in my family has every got skin cancer - going back to the slave days in USA. I have more than enough 'melanin' in my bodies to permanently block skin cancer. 'Everybody doesn't get skin cancer!' Just like everybody doesn't get sickle cell anemia - Blacks CAN get sickle cell anemia - if unlucky- but not Africans. I am presently in a medical study - which has last decades - oversee by USPHSCC/CDC - to find out WHY Blacks in general do not get skin cancer and my family in particular!

                            • When I went to a public pool last, some years back, everyone was reasonably well covered. I mean they weren't showing anything too revealing. But these days you see what kind of bikinis they sell, and some are very revealing, a string only up their backsides. No need to show everything. Real ladies and men don't wear such things. Maybe they love attention! And wonder why there is perverted people around. Have to be careful with this as people now have mobile phones everywhere. If you're stupid and get photographed then it serves you right.

                              • Are G-strings inappropriate at public spaces/beaches.... depends on whether the public space/beaches have a bathing suit requirement or not wearing a bathing suit is optional. However, you should 'know' ahead of time - what type of public space/beach you are visiting - that way you will not be offended at seeing a G-strings on the human body! In San Diego, CA - where I reside - there is a bathing suit optional beach - Black's Beach the part of the beach that is maintain by the State of California! The part of Black's Beach maintained by the City of San Diego - you have to wear appropriate bathing suits and a G-string bathing suit is not consider appropriate and you will be severely fined!

                                    ·
                                    • It's similar to some women who breast feed in public places. So wrong and disgusting!
                                      ·
                                      • You can see everything ar the beach
                                        ·
                                        • No, of course not! Nor should it be allowed. Why would they need to wear g-😏strings or their under wear in public? Crazy!
                                          ·
                                          • Umn no comment females wear less these days
                                            ·
                                            • You really can't measure skin as some people have way more skin than others. A 120lb person doesn't have the skin of a 250 lb person. As long as private parts are covered it should be OK. I am always surprised that women who wear g-stings on a public beach would be, or are, embarrassed if when wearing a skirt and the wind blew up the skirt, showing their underwear. What is that about?
                                              ·

                                                  • It's not my thing, but I don't care what anyone else wears, it's none of my concern. If there's no dress code at the place, than yes, it's ok.
