My young neighbour came round to ask if I had a Blower she could borrow to clear grass cuttings... I said no, but I had a broom she could use...she gave me a strange look...smiled and went away....she would be horrified to find nearly all my power tools have a long wire that you have to plug in to make them work...and manual tools that require no power at all...AND they all work fine and are easy to use....
But everything needs to "powered"...either a filthy 2 stroke petrol engine....or by a battery that uses rare materials...that we will run out off...is it impossible to recycle...and oh yes...sometimes just bursts into flames and kills people....we need energy...so we create more and more things that use this scarce energy...don't forget to keep charging everything,,,and now we have AI....which already uses 17% of ALL the power generated in Ireland...we have got to be crazy...haven't we?
