"Wahoo Mohammed". British Airborne soldier’s, amongst the finest and most feared of fighting men during the Second World War were 'Esprit de Corps' - the loyalty and devotion uniting those members of the armed forces who felt themselves to be highly privileged to wear the Red Beret. If they were outnumbered, they would immediately yell out their Airborne battle cry which had been originated by their 1st Airborne Division in North Africa and adopted by all Airborne men thereafter. Up would go the cry "Wahoo Mohammed". The effect of that cry was truly amazing. Within minutes, and from all directions, Red Berets would appear, and a pitched battle would commence. Their unwritten Airborne law was clearly understood by every Red Devil - at least amongst the lower ranks - and regardless of which Airborne unit they served in; if an Airborne man was in trouble and called out their battle cry, it didn't matter what you were doing, you immediately responded to the call.Edited 25-Jun-23 12:12pm

  awwww no haha- was too traumatized from mum always telling me i was going to be sent to boarding school- or the children's home- usually for not eating my tea..(i had sore tummys ). Just laffing- a bit horrified. sorting stuff. Found a year 12 english book of young madams- about one page of work, then on the next page a list of drinks her and bestie taking- clearly to some sort of party! Sigh.

	Good evening fellow hard working Rewardian's.. Wondered if anyone had a favourite saying or even a wee poem they like or use sometimes.. Sorry if this has been done before. My hubby can't speak coz of stroke but when lying down he can get out a vaguely clear "Woteva!" haha. Maybe mine is "I need chocolate".
