By this I mean "How much does the world rely on GPS on a daily basis." I saw a video the other day that pointed out that the vast majority of the western worlds military is totally dependent on it but also our daily lives revolve around it. Commercial Aircraft and Marine navigation, our vehicles use it and thus delivery vehicles, Ambulances and other emergency services. Financial systems are reliant to a certain degree for precise timing of events and a host of other uses.
It is run by the USA with 31 Satellites. China recently shot down one of it's own weather satellites, there are other targets. This is not about China, it's just that we have many eggs in one basket. |
