  • I bet none of them typed in all uppercase. Otherwise we would be remembering them as uneducated, low social-IQ plebs - And I'm not sure remembering people because of a romance is justified either.... but there you go. I prefer to remember them because of their service to country. Not because the war made them frisky!

    • Kurt Vonnegut wrote that Armistice Day was sacred...on that day, when all the guns and noise suddenly stopped...the men in the trenches suddenly were faced with silence...many swore they heard the voice of God...and that was the last time we ever heard it...changing it's name and adding other events to it only cheapens it...I tend to agree...its OK to have several days set aside for our heroes...and leave Armistice day for those people who claim to have heard God's voice.... that's pretty special isn't it?

        • I agree wholeheartedly,

          • Yes, they should. It's the same principle with Valentine's Day and having to use a certain day of the year to tell someone how you feel.
