What?...don't look at me...I only started this discussion page...I thought you guys might know....but here is something great...when you buy a leek..cut off the bottom near the roots..lightly stick in 3 toothpicks around its middle and stick it in a large shot glass of water (or similar) and you can almost SEE it start growing after a day or so...give it 3 or 4 days...and then bury it up to the top in earth or potting mix or whatever (take out the toothpicks first of course)....and it grows into a new leek!!...whoo hoo...free vegetables...ok...thats it...what have you got?
