Corn Fritters | ||
*Ingredients This dish is very popular in the village areas of Indonesia and Malaysia. *300 g corn kernels. * 1 beer, drink beer while preparing fritters, *3 tbs plain flour. *1 tbs rice flour. *1 chopped spring onion. * 1 egg *salt to own taste. *1 cup oil for frying. * Spices. * 1 tsp coriander seeds. * half teaspoon white pepper. *7 shallots. * garlic and chili to own taste . * Method. * Grind coriander, white pepper, shallots and garlic until then are a paste. * Add corn and grind for a further 3 minutes. * You can use a blender but the mortar and pestle brings out the flavour a lot more in my opinion. * Mix with plain flour, rice flour, salt, egg and spring onion. * Fry for between 7 and 10 minutes until it turns a golden-brown colour. | ||
