Jam Cookies | ||
A simple recipe done in 10 minutes with no butter Ingredients: 1 egg ½ cup sugar Pinch of salt 1 tsp vanilla extract ½ cup vegetable oil ¾ cup cornstarch 1 tsp baking powder 1½ cups all-purpose flour Use your favorite jam to for filling How to make them: 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. 2. In a bowl, whisk the egg, sugar, salt, and vanilla until smooth. 3. Add the oil and mix well. 4. Sift in the cornstarch, baking powder, and flour. Mix until you get a soft dough that s easy to shape. 5. Roll the dough into small balls. Press the center of each ball with your finger to make a small dip. Then use a spoon to gently shape a raised edge around that dip like a little nest. 6. Bake for 10 12 minutes or until the bottoms are slightly golden. 7. Once out of the oven and still warm, fill the center dip with your favorite jam. Tip: Add the jam after baking to keep it smooth and glossy not burnt or bubbly. | ||
