Red Velvet Choc Chip Cookies

Ingredients
1 and 2/3 cups plain flour
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
1 large egg
1 tablespoon buttermilk
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
3/4 teaspoon gel red food coloring
1 cup chocolate chips, white, dark or milk
Instructions
Whisk the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt together in a medium bowl. Set aside.
Beat the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy. Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix on high until combined.
Pour the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, add the buttermilk and food coloring and then mix until everything is combined. Stir in the chocolate chips.
Place dough in the fridge for 1 to 2 hours.
Preheat oven to 175 degrees celsius.
Place tablespoons of dough on a baking sheet and bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
Allow to cool and enjoy.
