Cinnamon Oysters | ||
Sharing popular kiwi sweet treats, which have been my most asked for item for 'ladies a plate' for over 50 years. Use small patty tins, not the large muffin size. Makes 16-18 I use large size eggs at room temperature and heat bowl and beaters before use. Ingredients: 2 eggs 3 oz sugar 1 dessertspoon golden syrup 2 oz flour 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 teasp ground ginger 1/2 teasp baking soda Beat eggs, add sugar and beat until thick. Add syrup and beat again. Fold in sifted dry ingredients. Put spoonfuls into buttered patty tins Bake 12 minutes at 400F. When cold split without cutting right through and fill with whipped cream. Dust with icing sugar. No need to worry about texture, the cream sorts that out .best creamed several hours before eating. | ||
