Slow Cooked Red Wine braised Beef Cheeks

I always get compliments when I slow cook this dish. The Beef cheeks are so tender they practically melt in your mouth with the delicious rich red wine flavored sauce. This recipe is definitely a winner! This is one of those recipes people think is challenging to cook, but it is practically a set and forget dish!

Ingredients:
1-1.5 kg beef cheeks
2 tbsp Garlic Powder
2 tbsp Onion Powder
2 tbsp Tomato Sauce
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper
2 cups Red wine
1 cup Beef Stock
3 bay leaves
2 tsp Wholegrain mustard (optional)

Method:
1) Prepare beef cheeks, cut off the white fatty hard substances.

2) Marinate both sides of beef cheeks with salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, tomato sauce and mustard. Place marinated cheeks in the refrigerator for at least 30-45 minutes.

3) Then transfer the marinated cheeks into a slow cooker. Pour in Red wine and Beef stock. Add in bay leaves. Slow cooked on low for 8 hrs.

4) I normally pair the beef cheeks with potatoes, pumpkins and steam fresh vegetables. I like to spoon the delicious sauce over everything too.
Enjoy!
