Chicken Satay Sticks | ||
Satay sticks are a staple food of southeast Asia. They are sold from street carets and small warungs (shop or stall) everywhere. Some are great and others are woeful. INGREDIENTS *500 gram of chicken. (cubed) *4 cloves of garlic. *6 small red onion. *Turmeric powder (half teaspoon). *Coriander (half teaspoon). *Cumin (half teaspoon). *Salt *1 teaspoon of kecap manis. *1 teaspoon of oil. *Grind (puree) all spices and mix with chicken. *Push on to skewers and grill over a low heat. Depending on what skewers you are using they may need soaking in water when you start preparing the other ingredients. *PEANUT SAUCE. *250 g of peanuts. *Chili to own taste. *2 cloves of garlic. *Mix these three and fry for about 5 minutes.
