Baked Potatoes with Cheese | ||
4 cups Potatoes cut thin slices 2 tablespoons Butter 2 tablespoons Flour 2 cups of Milk 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder Salt and pepper to taste Parsley for garnish Method: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish. In a saucepan, melt the butter, whisk in the flour, then gradually add the milk, stirring until it thickens. Then remove from the heat, stir in the garlic powder, salt, pepper, and half the cheese. Layer half the potatoes in the dish, pour half the sauce over, then repeat layers. Top with remaining cheese. Bake covered for 45 minutes, uncover and bake another 15 minutes until bubbly and golden. Garnish if desired. | ||
