Apple Cake | ||
Ingredients 2 eggs 2 apples, peeled and diced ½ cup granulated sugar ½ cup sunflower or canola oil ½ cup milk 1 packet baking powder (16g) 2 ½ cups all purpose flour 1 tsp lemon or orange flavoring (or zest of 1 citrus) Powdered sugar for dusting (optional) Directions 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a 9 inch cake pan & line it with parchment paper for easy removal. 2: Whisk the wet Ingredients in a large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together until they re pale and slightly foamy. Stir in the oil, milk, and citrus flavoring until fully combined. 3: Add dry ingredients & gradually mix in the flour & baking powder. Stir just until you have a smooth batter don t overmix. 4: Fold in the Apples & gently fold in the diced apples. They should be evenly distributed throughout the batter. 5: Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the surface. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean from the center. 6: Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Dust with powdered sugar. | ||
