Any recent movies that have really impressed you?...it is getting more and more difficult..as the overall quality and variety is fading fast...I have just watched "Bullet Train" for the second time...it didn't get any fancy awards..or massive media coverage....in fact it was totally ignored.......strong cast ...AND it would easily be the best movie I have watched in over 2 or 3 years....no contest...I watched a couple of very weak movies that actually won awards...

Did you watch that on Tubi mr A?
Hubby said Whale was good.
Not a movie but Godfather of Harlem series very very good.
Last movie we watched and enjoyed was Clifford the Big Red Dog haha..

From time to time I like to get a pedicure and a manicure at one of the various nail salons, I am happy with how my nails and toes look but I don't like how the beauty therapist cannot speak English or at least say hello. Does anyone else find that annoying when the staff talk in there language or just plainly ignore you?
Glenice L 1244113
You say "annoying", but I say "suspicious": I've had to accept my inner-instincts when I go near one of those salons/spas....my gut knows their smiles are fake, most can't /won't communicate properly- which screams that they're merely fronting for something else (just money or ?whatever else?). So for about 15 yrs, I've shied away from every invitation (by my kids trying to gift me with such a visit) to have them touch me or my hair. I bought about a full set of stuff and do my own at home....in my own time too!!
Sometimes, I think it's even better to have about 2-8 girlfriends and get each other's nails and hair done(house-party) - at least we would communicate, smile and get along just fine, while saving a ton o' $$$$!

What happened to live and let live. Daily there is some group of people telling us how to live our lives. Some are minority groups pushing their point of view. Some are are professionals with a new theory. Why can't they "live and let live" . Get on with their own lives the way they want and let others do the same.

very astute missy I agree with you,100 percent, I really do think I am here to make other people's lives better and you know what I enjoy being that person, I enjoy the little things, the little smiles the wonderment of someone's face when you bestow an act of kindness these things are more valuable than anything material thing you will find on this planet, may your heart always be joyful I hope your wishes all come true and you stay safe and healthy and have a wondrous new year

What is your opinion Flemington Racecourse building the flood wall back in 2007 to stop the flooding going into the racecourse knowing the Melbourne Cup Carnival is just around the corner.
Edward S 497347
What about the GREAT WALL OF ECHUCA ?
The levee built along one side of the river is going to redirect their share of the flood water to the hundreds of homes on the other side meaning their homes could possibly completely go underwater as we saw in parts of QLD and NSW earlier this year.
Thier council has had more than enough time to build a levee on BOTH sides of that river but chose NOT to protect the hundreds of homes on that other side.
This is therefore NEGLECT and ignorance by that council, therefore the residents of those hundreds of homes that are not being protected should be able to take "Class Action" against that council for costs of damages to their homes and personal property ( but of course, if they did that and won the court case the council will massively increase rates to cover the cost of the compensation payout

I havent had any surveys for 2 days...is it just me or anyone else have the same issue
Lynn
First off thanks Geoffrey for this as I will explain a little later. I must say once I mention my age do not get some surveys. However, I feel that this is because companies want certain people with children etc. I am annoyed when I keep getting ones asking have you been on a diet program which comes up frequently and when the answer is no I do not count. I wonder if any have answered yes and they go on to be able to complete. However all in all I consider myself lucky and most days will get over 1000 points but sometimes even $2000. Very good and also there is the fact that if you are bored and really just not feeling like doing anything there are the games. lol

Procrastination is such an unhelpful state to be in and I hate it when I procrastinate but I am human and it happens. It happens before gym workouts, it happens before massive career decisions. It happens before cleaning the house. But I always feel better after any task is done and often wonder why I procrastinated in the first place. Surely others feel like this too?
lippy loo
No I am the type that if it needs doing, do it. I do believe one has to think on big issues that might affect you, others, finance, job etc. before making such a major change or decision but to dither for ages is not a good state to be in for yourself or others it might affect. I usually go with my gut feeling and it has not steered me wrong yet and I am in my 70's.

I have felt 100+ for the last six weeks. Lied on the couch day and night for two weeks straight with gout in 10 toes. Side effect from anaesthetia I was told by ED doctors. Just starting to feel like my spritely 72 years again. I was thrilled when a shop assistant at Chemist Warehouse quizzed about the tart cherry juice i had just purchased. She stated, it is really good isn't it, to which i replied, it sure is for gout prevention but I couldn't get my hands on it quick enough this time. She then replied, I thought you took it for your complexion. I then asked her to guess my age. Lo' and behold she said 44. I instantly felt like my spritely 72 years again after moping around for six weeks.

Hi Annette , first of congratulations on bubs ! And I gather it's your partner then who will have the optimal care of your little one while you are at work ?. If so, you should soon feel comfortable knowing he/ she is well taken care of in-between naps and you may get some cute little updates in your work breaks from your partner on daily progress .
l found going back to work just for 2 half days was a great social break and gets you back to feeling a bit more like a regular person,(, sleep deprived and a bit cluckier or madder over some things) but if you find it's too much don't be afraid to cut down hours until you feel ready . I think though, if you like your job and the people there are supportive you will just ease back into a nice routine . Best of luck ;)

Can someone please tell me what the different colors on the surveys actually mean? is it a topic or category or something? I can find no information as to what the actual difference is! Thanks :)
Thomas (Rewardia Support)
Hi Bucketheart.
The different colours indicate different survey providers (also known as survey channels). For example, if you click on a green-coloured survey, it will usually open a Samplicio.us survey in a new browser tab.
However, sometimes the same survey might appear under two different colours. This happens because companies that commission market research often work with multiple survey providers at the same time.
Hope this helps! Let us know if you have any other questions.

Prince Harrys memoir is being launched early next year. The title is Spare. Will you be buying or reading a copy? I'll be reading it, as I want to know what hes got to winge about. Its a royal reality show that keeps on giving.
Edward S 497347
Meagan Markle married into the British Royal family just to increase her popularity to promote her Hollywood acting career, with no intention of performing Royal duties as she always intended to return to acting.
She then set about brainwashing Prince Harry, to support her and to turn him against the Royal family in order to cause as much controversy as possible to keep the media's attention on her and Prince Harry.
To add to the controversy she brainwashed Prince Harry into leaving the Royal family after she deliberately caused problems within the Royal family.
Once she succeeded in that, in order to promote her career even further she and Prince Harry ( who was brainwashed by her ) began spreading lies about the Royal family to enable them to make many millions of dollars through interviews, book deals, and their own television shows and podcasts.
She, Meaghan Markle set out to gain more fame, riches, and a famous husband, then after brainwashing him she set about destroying the British Royal family to prevent them from taking Prince Harry away from her because if he divorced her, after a while, she would get much LESS media attention which would affect her career, fame, income, and lavish lifestyle.
Now no one needs to buy and read his book and the whole story is above

I don't understand, when do you soak the oats? Do they go in with the chia seeds to be soaked overnight? Do they get soaked separately? There is not enough explanation on how to do this. Or else my brain is just too dense . . . which is always possible.

Now they are asking for installation of a User Zoom device, invasive questions about your banking accounts, access to mobile advertising, access to TV subscription data, ask you to go to sites and lie to get dummy insurance policies etc. They then pay you a reward not compatible with an award basic wage, screen you out for no reason at the end of a survey, even when you send in a screen shot saying that you have completed the survey, they pay only a pittance. I keep hoping for the days when I joined up of receiving much better points than now. The Co-vid crisis is long over. How much is Rewardia getting for every survey we do? I suspect we are only receiving a very small percentage of what is actually paid.

We recently attended our friends daughters wedding. We travelled 7 hours each way to a beautiful venue, but had to stay 2 nights to break the journey. As we are both retired & money is tight we had to put a lot of thought into the wedding gift. As the couple have been together several years they requested money towards a honeymoon. What do others think would be a reasonable amount to gift? We seem to be out of touch? $100 - $500???

whatever you can afford if anything would be good if I was the happy couple, we got married in the backyard, had a barby, and shorts, and thongs were the dress code of the day, we upgraded to James Boag it was our biggest expense, we did this 1 because of who we are, and 2 to save cash for our honeymoon, as gifts we told people to bring steaks/beer/salads or cheesecakes maybe even a pav in case things went on into the evening which they did,35 years later it was still one of the best days of our life, we had 4 barbecues and 3 fridges, was one hell of a day shared by all,and not a bank buster

I will admit I am old (not dead - yet - I do have one foot in my grave) - I do not use either (my guess will be heat bags would be safer). If I am feeling cold - I will reset my smart thermostat. I was a late starter and an early finisher. Thought I'd missed the bus. I read everything I could get my hands on. If you can get over the "morning sickness" everything after that is easy. Try to make sure you get sufficient sleep, the late months if I closed my eyes at work I wanted to go to sleep. After that first acceptance that you are Really pregnant it seems easy but do look after your health and try not get over stressed as you can't help all those hormones flooding through you. Hopefully your partner accepts that you also become very emotional at times, no you don't have that to yourself, we all did it. That first tiny butterfly movement that later becomes like a full football game by the last few months. God Bless and keep well.

I had a different experience about 5 weeks ago, not Amazon, but worth telling. I was in my backyard at 5pm, doing some gardening when I heard a delivery truck. I checked down the side of the house to the front, and saw it was a Coles home delivery truck. I thought it was for the neighbors across the street, so I ignored it. About 10 minutes later I went to the front of the house. On my front steps were 15 bags of groceries and a carton of ginger beer - not mine (I don't do home delivery). I looked for a receipt or paperwork - nothing. I rang Coles local, and they put me through to their distribution center in Sydney, where they put me on hold for 15 minutes. I explained what happened, they put me on hold again. When they finally came back, they asked me if I wanted to keep the groceries or did my neighbors want some of it. Could I take it inside and refrigerate what needed to be and keep the rest. The driver can't get back to my street that night and once I take it inside, they cannot then ask for it back due to security issues, Coles would then send out a new order to the original shopper. I said thanks, took some things to my neighbor and kept the rest. We estimated that it was a full family shop ($350). I spoke to the phone operator and asked questions. If it happens again, just take everything inside. Once it's in your house, it's yours, they won't knock on the door and ask for it.
